I’ve got the TIG225, MIG285 and the CUT60. When I bought the TIG225 the 325 was not available. I would have gotten that if it was available then, but it’s a newer model. It goes higher and lower in current and has a higher duty cycle. I would also suggest the cooler and liquid cooled torch.

I’ve found that all batteries are not created equally, and do a capacity check every six months. Once a degradation in capacity beyond 10% is observed the battery gets replaced regardless of age. Sometimes that is a surprisingly long or short interval.

To get the same HP at 1800 rpm as you would have at 3600rpm you need a much larger (more expensive) engine. Making a 4 pole generator instead of the two poles required for 3600rpm takes more copper and steel. So the answer is both.

I usually set a pipe in concrete with a flange about 4” above grade. Then a mating flange with the post welded to it. The flanges are bolted together with 1/4” grade 3 bolts. That provides a failure point that’s easily fixed when it gets hit.
