Don sorry about loss of BIL prayers sent

Sorry about truck Don that is terrible

61 this morning falling temperatures all day rain showers off and on nothing like what they called for upwards of 3/4 in. LaNina is messing with us. High pressure off SE coast too strong which lead to warmth last week. Still have fire danger. Did not go to bed until 2:30 sleepy now.

Prayers for all silent or spoken our country

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 38° going to a high of 44° with rain, just an all together miserable way to start the week. At least the coffee is hot.

Held down the chair this weekend, unintentionally took 3 hour nap after taking the dog for a walk. Still managed to sleep OK. Due to some work issue, parents didn't shove off for the beach. Well, they did, then somewhere in VA they turned around and came back. Mother was not a happy camper, so lying low was definitely the play. Now they're rescheduled for Saturday. Didn't look at the Farm Boss this weekend, maybe this week.

Found 80 acres up north, older barn and pole barn on property. 7 acres in a gas pad. Looks like a cow/calf operation is currently housed there....Do I dare to dream that big? Definitely would need a bigger tractor. Maybe a Ford TW-25, always liked the look of them. If I didn't have a girlfriend to think about, I'd be surrounded by tractors and living in an uninsulated shack.

Goals for this week: Survive work week, continue perusing for property, look at Farm Boss, schedule tee time for coworkers.

Don, Sorry for your string of bad luck, prayers for you and your family on loss of BIL.

Stay well and dry out there folks!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

40°
Woke up from noise of an obnoxious trimmer buzzing from across the road

Got a letter from electric company they couldn’t cash my last check I sent, said invalid account number. Same account I’ve paid with for last 30 yrs. All other checks haven’t had a problem.
Made an electronic transfer to them while I was up in the night. They are using a new “service” for payments and now extracting fees just to pay your bill.
Too much to do. Need to return the jig saw to UPS. Pick up more deck material.

Morning all, 39 going to 44 and rain.
Trip to NYC was good, son likes the college.
After the tours we went to South Street Seaport, China town for lunch to a place I used to visit with friends in high school and then to little Italy and home. I worked at 4 different buildings, 3 different companies downtown, and in the seaport pictures you can see 2 of them at the very southernmost end of the picture.
Cloudy, but we got lucky it didn't really rain, saw classrooms, met faculty and got to see one of the dorms.
My cousin is actually a carpenter working on one of the other dorms and we got to see the building he is working on during the week.

Walked near the building were I currently work (though I work remote) and avoided getting too close.

The power supply came in and The monitor is now working and reassembled. Would have been $500 to replace with like, but for $60, including the parts I ordered initially it's now working again. Other cheaper monitor option was about $200, so happy it's working on the cheap.

M7040 - put a freeze on your credit with the three suppliers, Transunion, experian, euqifax. I leave the freeze on unless doing something with loans etc.

Got the plow off the tractor and put the bucket back on and took the tractor for a spin.

TXDon - my condolences on BIL, hope the truck damage doesn't cause too many problems.

Be well,
Haven't eaten here since High school, brings back lots of memories. Been visiting Ctown since I was about 4 with my Grandpas friend from Mainland China.

I worked in 2 of the builds farthest away towards middle of picture. Taken at the seaport

Good Morning
38° and raining. High in the low 40’s as the rain continues throughout the day.

Yesterday was a relatively slow day, had a smoked cheeseburger at Mission BBQ for lunch with a side of Mac and cheese. Kept me full all day.

Tinkered around in the shop, dried a batch of desiccant bags and tried running PETG filament in the printer. It worked very well. I made a battery caddy for Makita LXT batteries for oldest son as a test piece.
Came out quite nice, holds four batteries. Here it is with the support structures in place and again with them removed. It’s a good illustration of what Scott asked last week.

I need to go over to the shop and cut some sandblast mask, have an eye doctor appointment at 1:45 son wants me to take him to pick up his car from the alignment shop.

Oddfellows meeting tonight, seems like the days fill up and pass by pretty quickly. Not sure that I would have time for a real job….

Was looking into getting some upgrade to the welding equipment from Primeweld.
Plasma cutter and MIG welder with a good range of capability
What were the models you were happy with Popg?

What were the models you were happy with Popg?

I’ve got the TIG225, MIG285 and the CUT60.
When I bought the TIG225 the 325 was not available. I would have gotten that if it was available then, but it’s a newer model. It goes higher and lower in current and has a higher duty cycle. I would also suggest the cooler and liquid cooled torch.

66°F and .14 inches rain.

Quiet day, just easy piddling about yesterday. Canadians unable to get flights yesterday but arranged for today. Will take them to airport this afternoon for their long (27 hour) journey home. They shared some video of the damage -ouch. It was a hot water faucet left on with bathroom door closed causing a steam room. Door was swollen stuck, customer cabinets became unglued. Enough steam to actually raise the house temp to 25°C.

I made some really good, slow cooked beef ribs. I think it provided a mental break they needed.

Today , I’m tackling an internal fan swap in my secondary charging inverter. Not a hard job, just a bit tedious as it is wall mounted and involves disassembly.

Will join Happy Hour crew in town right after airport drop

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
