What additives do you use in your fuel and engines?

Marvel mystery oil. A very old marine diesel mechanic told me about it. He claimed he never had to replace an injector or pump when you add it to diesel/ he worked on bigger work boats. I use it occasionally and neither have I though id be very reluctant to put it in newer diesels with dpf etc.

What Oil does your Dealer/Shop use on Your Tractor?

How did I get under your skin? oh sure I make it my priority to only buy slave and child labor products. Unfortunately a lot of child and slave labor products are mediocre at best, therefore they aren't exactly in high demand by people like me. Seriously though One of my biggest frustrations is...

What Oil does your Dealer/Shop use on Your Tractor?

I suppose Im not going to debate governments in a global economy, I like there products and they work well in my equipment at a decent price especially with rebates. On a side note I used to run Napas premium tractor hydraulic fluid at twice the price and I'd experience harder shifting with a...

What Oil does your Dealer/Shop use on Your Tractor?

I use mystic jt5 for hydro and trans and jt8 semi synthetic for engine oil. Usually Napa gold filters or oem if napas not available. Ive never had a problem plus I kind of like mystics new go box. Lol ran ams oil in my snowmobile before it blew probably bad ethanol gas though. Anyone else try...

I use this 35 gallon set up put a 10mic particulate filter on it and I add a little biocide every fill up. Less than $250 for everything. A lot more effecientfor my small operation than using 5gal cans and funnels.

    Proprietary computer diagnostics

Hi, unsure of cat and kubota but I use a 2013 jd326 e skid steer it will occasionally throw a fault code in the form of a number. So far it's never went into a limp mode and when I recall the codes to look them up online, the codes are gone and aren't stored in the display. So either it was...

Should I fear the Tier (IV)?

Imo if your going to use the skid steer to clean up a clearcut get a bigger wheeled one with steel tracks. I use a 2013 jd 326e a lot with steel tracks no problems with dpf but it definitely does a little worse on fuel consumption compared to a non tier IV 75hp ctl. Driving a ctl in the woods is...

1st Post- Looking at an Old L5450

Here's a comp, there's a L3750 at a Wisconsin dealer (closest one I found of that vintage) Its got 1k hrs 4 in one bucket 4wd,no hydraulic shuttle shift, no cab, and a bad clutch quoted me 14k they would replace the clutch, resurface flywheel, etc or buy as is for 12k. Figure of course i could...

1st Post- Looking at an Old L5450

if I lived near you i would buy that tractor in a second. Hydraulic shuttle or not 12k is a great price for a pre emission 50hp 4wd tractor with a fel because its a Kubota and owned by a mechanic 3k hours is nothing. The used tractor market around here is pretty much dried up, unless your...

    New kubota tractor advice

    New kubota tractor advice

I've noticed on this sight a quite a few folks have lots of disposable income, absolutely nothing wrong with that, id love to have the money to move up to a m4 or similar with heat and air that actually work. Where I live used three point backhoes with independent hydraulics come up pretty...

Mighty Ox Chippers, anybody heard of these?

I have the wm8h mostly made in China except for the knives I believe. The Feed roller runs off the pto. It's went up in price a few hundred since I got mine. Still a good chipper for just under 2600.

Mighty Ox Chippers, anybody heard of these?

I looked at mighty ox a few years back a comparable model was 2x as much as a wood max, went with a 8" pto driven wood max with feed rollers, yeah it's mostly made in China but it's built pretty well, does a decent job, and never had any problems with it.

    Garage hacks, adjustments and annoyances.........

I use a mixture of old drained antifreeze, water soluble cutting oil, and pinesol in my 7x12 bandsaw. Blade life is just about same as straight cutting fluid plus never had a frozen pump or algae growth. I'm a northerner and don't heat my shop unless I'm working in it.

Based on my usage, do I need more than one rear remote?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but all top and tilt is is a hydraulic operated top and side link? A manually operated multiplier is simple if you have only one remote, you can make a bracket to easily switch the circuit from your seat.

Based on my usage, do I need more than one rear remote?

You can always get a manual lever operated multiplier. Less than $300 I like mine and it was worth it for me.

    New Pioneer 520 Arrived

Thanks I'd be interested in your one year review if you don't mind. I'm sure it's under warranty but I had similar shifting issues with mine. I adjusted the clutch which was pretty easy cleared up the lurching and hard shifting a lot, I'm pretty hard on it when I'm working but has been really...

What should I buy? (35 acre forest management and future farm)

I wonder if you can sell the timber and work something out with the logging company to put in a road and get rid of six acres of stumps? I have quite a few hrs digging up stumps with a three point backhoe mounted on a older kubota L2850, mostly maples and birch some would take hrs, hydraulic...

Buying Advice New Member Looking At First Tractor - Ford (9N/8N)

If he gets something without a fel and needs to move stuff he can get or build three point forks pretty cheap, or as previously stated a boom pole for even cheaper, I'm unsure of three pt lift cap on the n series though.

    Is this a scam?  B&C TRACTOR/ LOADER

Hi, I almost got sucked into this, could only find limited info on the web about this company so I'm assuming it is one of the most elaborate scams I've ever seen. I was interested in the 2008 l4240 with loader and cab for under 12k with 1700 hrs delivered. They apparently have there own...
