That looks like an indirect injection engine with the pre chamber that contains the injector and glow plug. I bet something in there broke off and fell in.

The only thing I can think of is a part of injector or glow plug. Without seeing the engine I’m not sure what else in the intake would cause this. You can tell something got in there and hammered away.

For some reason I don’t think it was the ring but possible. It obviously sucked something in though.

This is the style I went back with. The bars are fairly thick. No matter what you have it will eventually burn through over a period of years from a hot fire.

I had one of those and liked it but it didn’t last very long. If you don’t burn a lot of wood it will last a long time. I burn maybe a couple of chords of wood a year and the grate burned through in the middle after a couple of years.

Both of my saws have 18” bars but the MS261 must have a slightly taller bar because the chain has more teeth.

That’s what I see on the pumps here. Like already mention it adds the lubricity and is good from that point of view. The bad is in cold weather it gels easier. I dump in some kerosene when it starts getting really cold.

I think it’s have to be 100% mechanical injection. So many newer machines the injectors are fired electronically.

I bought a JD about 6 years ago. I can’t imagine I’d buy one today when I see what people are paying for them now. It’s not just cuts though, a lot of things have just shot up due to inflation. The market will adjust eventually to what people are willing to pay.

My MS261 has an 18” bar and it pulls it well. Winterdeere is correct on big rounds, mine worked pretty hard cutting those up last week as shown in my picture above.

There are a lot of MS 261 owners on this forum that like them, myself included. It’s fairly light for its power and is in Stihl’s pro saw lineup.

The problem with the VP style cans is the nozzle is just a tube sticking straight up. It’s a little awkward to get it in the fill hole and manhandle the jug. They make a cheap plastic device you can put on the plastic nozzle to put a bend in it, that helps.

Here is a picture of my rear blade. I’ve got a fairly low dollar piece of metal on mine to sandwich it. I intended to use the original cutting edge sandwich it but the yellow edge wasn’t tall enough.

I have a plastic one and it has blown open but maybe 3 times in 20 years. The old fashioned metal silver ones that are metal have a pretty positive latch on top.

When’s the last time you changed the fuel filter? If it’s been a while I’d put a new one in. It seems like temps have to get down closer to zero before fuel gels but it might be a good idea to add an anti gel additive.

I own a John Deere 2025r and it’s a 2019 model year. I believe 2018 is when John Deere started making them in Georgia.

You can do a lot more with a BX. A BX is pretty common used also. I was looking at the same two 15 years ago and I am so glad I bought the BX. I owned it 10 years and out 800 hours on it, a solid machine. I’ve since moved on to a larger John Deere.

As a rule John Deere and Kubota build their own stuff. One exception is the smaller John Deere’s use a Yanmar engine. If your looking for a deal in the size your looking at used is probably the way to go.

When I switched to geothermal they took the propane from the tank at the house and put it in the one at the shop. I think it takes a propane truck to do it.

Just to clarify what the op wants. A 10k trailer or a trailer with two 10k axles, which would be a 20k trailer. I assume a 10k trailer which would have two 5k axles.

If you are talking grade 8 for a head bolt you need to get real head bolts. I realize you are doing this on a budget but I don’t think you can shortcut head bolts.

I’m guessing you had fuel gelling. Even with additives I’ve had it gel, kerosene works best when it gets down near zero.
