    My Honda was getting around 27.4 for over 50,000 miles with OEM tires. Had Michelin Defender tires put on and now 26.4 over 10,00 miles. However; the Defenders hold the road a lot better in wet conditions. A loss of 1mpg will add up over time but the Defender rides better.

    A lot of the 3/4 and 1 ton pickups are used to haul campers, today's RV's and boats can exceed 10,000 lb. Those same PU's are also used as daily drivers. I do think 75 to 80% of the 1/2 ton pickup's on the road today are just daily drivers because guy's and some gal's like pickup's.

    I had a Walmart battery go bad in MS took it to the local WM and they said you have an 800CCA battery and we only sell those from TN north, the strongest battery they had for my vehicle was a 680 CCA. I had no choice at the time and had to take the 680 CCA. I now buy my batteries from NAPA.

    The sun on one side can lead to a 10 deg or more difference side to side. If it were me, I would test again for a short run and if the same results I would back of the castle nut one quarter turn on the 125 deg bearing. I suspect you are fine as is but I'm over cautious pulling a trailer.

    Switch has a start position with a high value fuse 50 amp or so or a fused link. You need to check the switch in the start position. OR you could have a bad or corroded battery connection enough power to show lights but not enough to turn the starter. I would check the battery first.
