Boomer 54D Computer problems

Ok. Strange one. Boomer 54D will be running fine. Out of nowhere, tractor goes to idle, codes flashing different numbers, all gauges start flying back and forth. I tapped on the Computer module, silver thing on top of the motor, and it goes back to normal.
All connections seems tight. 600 hours on this thing..
Does these Computers go out like that with these few hours on the Machine?

If you can tap on it and things return to normal that indicates a loose or corroded fitting. One likely culprit is the way the module is grounded. Try finding the ground point, clean and tighten.

Curious if you solved the problem and if so what was it and how did you fix it?

Amazing how people will sign in to a forum ask a question an never respond after the first question.

I know lots of people are lurkers and may post very seldom but they just don't disappear.

Then there are the many very knowledgeable folks that are a good source for information then they disappear after years of posting.

BUT the trolls are the worst.

I hear you and it’s frustrating, at a minimum post something to give closure. It would be great to know if fixing the ground solved the problem or not…

You know and I know 99% probability bad ground, loose connection but yeah it could be something else and we could all learn form others feedback.

I've got a 2018 Boomer 50 and I had similar problems. Some of mine are caused my mice nesting in the valley up top. They had one heck of a nest and you can't even see it. I keep a close eye on mine and missed it because the spot is buried in there.

I also have had a ton of issues and mine only has 250 hours. I had to replace a crank sensor and the AC controller has failed. Fuel level float sensor failed, lots of crazy codes. The engine bay is tight and difficult to work on. I've been searching for a code scanner that will work.
