Sizing floor joists, and thickness and type of plywood sheeting?

You can also space your joists at 12” oc to get a better rating on 2x8s. I wouldn’t go any less than 3/4” for the floor. Advantech flooring is great, but 3/4” T&G subfloor plywood would work just as well.

Protecting your well head from fire, impact, sun, and freezing

That’s much different than what we have in PA. Casings are steel. Water connection is below frost line via a “pitless” adapter that goes through the side of the casing. Electric comes from the same depth as the water line to the house, up along the side of the casing through a 1” black poly...

    PEX crimp tool?

On my old well I did. It’s was shallow and lots of acidity. The new well is 280’ and not nearly as acidic. The problems occur when the fitting is in the middle of the run. The plumbing supply house by me carries both plastic and metal fittings. Plastic is much cheaper too.

    PEX crimp tool?

High iron, acidic water here in PA. When I first ran the pex up to my bathroom, I used a couple brass pex elbows in the middle of the run. 15 years later, they were oozing and very corroded. Replaced them with plastic. I would not use shark bites either, as they are mostly brass.
