Yes, pollarred21, these tractors make great "self-propelled wheelbarrows"! I use mine that way a lot. I'm old enough now that my back can't take it, either. Just crawling around to grease all the fittings on the FEL, BH, and my blower quick-hitch the other day made me ache all over the next morning.

For years I'd had a 16' 3/8" chain (plain hooks), and a few years back I needed a bit more so I bought that 9' (10'?) one -- probably from Tractor Supply, but I don't remember. It came with those blue hooks, which I've grown to appreciate -- that shade of blue is not something you're likely to see on the ground around here, so yeah, they're easy to spot while sliding them under a log, for instance. I like that.

Tractor moving soaked heavy straw bales. Sure makes the job easy and quick.

Hopefully this week I can get the blower and hitch off, get the loader back on, then put the 3 point chipper on. Haven’t chipped in a few years due to a hernia. Now that’s been fixed, I can do some much needed brush cleanup.

rotated 1 compost pile (horse manure dropped october 2024 so never had chance to heat up yet) for first time this year. pile approx 30 cubic yards.

pile running approx 5-6 ft tall, 25 ft long, 15ft wide. the area between the 2 piles (other pile approx 15yds, tarp is 15x20 covers approx 3/4 of it) has about 2ft depth left but too muddy. once dries a bit I will stack pile approx 10-12ft tall. have to climb pile a bit to do it, not hard just have to be careful.

Got the snowblower off, sprayed all the bare metal on it with FF.

Cleaned the pto stub and greased it, and greased all the 3 point linkages.

Put the loader on and the chipper.

Cut six more sections off that log yesterday -- this time I cut them about 8" thick. Much easier to handle, but still about 100 lbs each. Just a few more and I can get the last large piece out by dragging, I think.

See that yellow thing? Say what you want, but that old McCulloch Pro-Mac 10-10 is still going strong after 40 years or so.... (No, it's not my boat anchor! :))

Thought I was going to start getting the GC ready for spring, summer. Went outside, opened the shed, looked at the tractor, decided that with the breeze it is still too cool for me, closed the shed back up. Maybe tomorrow when it's supposed to be warmer.

brought tiller and mower deck up from storage, dubbing away checking bolts/etc on tiller and may use it tonight for first time this season. need to check garden area soil dryness before I do, no sense tilling mud.

I gotta stir up my pile too. I use the backhoe to agitate all that, and then forks to flip it all over.
