When I go to cut "proper lumber" I cut a large cant or beam of a dimension I want, say 3 1/2" thick or a hair more for 2x4s, then I just slice them to 1 1/2 and they are all uniform widths... Here I cut a log into 3 1/2 thick slabs, stood them all up on the mill and sliced 2x4s 4 at a time..

And I cheated.. I took it to a dealer to let them do it, I just didn't have the time.. Had them replace the leaking valve cover gaskets as well

Thanks, the covered area has a picnic table, bathroom and the pool mechanicals... Heres another pic of my "out in the middle of no where" set up..
  133. hunt4570

I run my pump/filter/SWG 4 hours a day... when the pool water is cool I run it during the day, when the water gets too warm I run it at night and the water running down the slide in the cool evening air cools the pool down, and during the day with the sun blasting on the slide warms it up.

So all the videos I've seen pitting an electric and/or a gas saw against the chaps, the chaps stopped both with out getting through the chaps to skin or whatever. I'm thinking its just a lawsuit avoider clause..

    Food Plot Maintenance... which herbacides

So, according to the label Imox will work on the clover patches I have AND in my pond so I bought some to try. Seems to work great on my clover patch, but did pretty much nothing on my pond.

I have to agree, most of the battery ones seem smaller, cant imagine they have more torque, or more anything for that matter, than some of those big saws out there like you use.. or even the medium size ones like I use.

Seems most guys making you tube videos doing comparisons or whatever are getting a kickback to do them, why else would they do them? Just got to take them with a grain of salt and make your own determinations. Heck I wish someone would pay me to do that kind of stuff! But my internet here sucks...
  141. hunt4570

I live out in the middle of nowhere, that negates the need for a fence around the pool! But my insurance company said I needed to have the fence.. I now have a different insurance company! Yes I have a full salt system on my pool, but the pool and the tub are separate systems. How do...

Well why did he tell you about all the trouble they cause when they just dont? And you might have been trouble free with the chlorine for 20 years, but there is a much easier way to do it! And in the long run cheaper.

Sold a chainsaw, bought a chainsaw... So I sold a light use Stihl MS362, I have had it a while but it doesn't get much use as it was too heavy for me, spent most of its time on a shelf in the barn, had both my shoulders redone and it was just too much. So I bought a Echo CS 501-P a bit lighter...

My pool is up and running all year, only warm enough to swim maybe June to September, we closed it up the first year and didn't think it was worth the hassle. The only time I seem to get any algae is in October for what ever reason, and the only time I use algicide. As long as my water temp is...
  177. hunt4570

    Swimming Pool options

Yeah the main extra ingredient is CYA or cyuranic acid (no clue on correct spelling) I keep a bucket of the 3" tabs for just that reason and for wintertime when the SWG quits producing chlorine.
  178. hunt4570

    Swimming Pool options

What generator upkeep costs? Why more pump parts/maintenance ? Salt cost might be 50 bucks a year if we have a lot of rain. I've had no generator upkeep costs or any parts or maintenance costs on my pump at all... maybe he sold you a line.. and lots of chlorine.
  179. hunt4570

    Swimming Pool options

Well the SWG is a one time purchase 500 or 600 hundred up to a couple grand depending on your situation... other chemicals are almost nil, WAY easier and cheaper than chlorine all the time. I've done both. Do you do powdered or pill Chlorine, or just liquid? I do liquid chlorine in my hot tub...
