Hey Op, what part of MT are you in and what dealer are you using?

I just saw this and for closure I finally, this winter, had the dreaded click again and even though i got it started and it would start when it wasn't really cold I took it as a sign and replaced. Since I got 12 years on the original i just replaced with 1 form my dealer.

Correct and bluejay is the only one set-up to modify the chains so the answer I got on those chains for 27x8.5x15 was a no from wesco and i'll get 'er done for you right away from bluejay. They get a thumbs up from me so far

To round this thread out- I have heading to me a shortened alloy diamond chain with wear bars from Bluejay- they were helpful and fast and quite reasonable they look like this - 153$ shipped- which seems great hopefully they work well

Bluejay for the win - thanks you They have been great- they had hardened diamond pattern chains with wear studs (looks kinda like an aquiline of OFA) that they adapted from 27x9-14 and they are one the way to me for a better price shipped than many of the 4 link regular chain ladders i was seeing.

That is a good price on those, did not realize they carried aqualine I wasn't so lucky with the slop- it was wet but not melting- glad i plowed it now that everything froze up

interestingly i notice that the machine is slightly faster today- 6.9 vs 6.2 yesterday under same conditions and feels much better. Guess the lesson is to keep the fluid up oil the upper half- I wonder if somehow the dipstick is off or something?

Thanks all- even though the fluid was in the indicated range, it was near the bottom so i brough it up to the dead middle (guessing 3 quart) and now its seems to work- guess we will see in the am. if it still does.

Be careful with your spoils - they are best cast downhill and spread- using them as the outer part of your tread will likely result in the outer portion failing early and could lead to a safety issue- its best to have the entire bench result from the cut. And use a mini-x

As i replied in another thread, i was recently in far north norway where I saw more PTO blowers than i've ever seen- Tractors are the snow clearing tool there. I also saw no or almost no push blowers- they were all inverted. LOTS of them
