I just had a serious repair to my 2008 l3540. My propeller shaft seal at the tranny was leaking profusely! MB Tractor performed the repair at half the cost of quotes from local dealers here in massachusetts! Thank you MB Tractor, you guys are awesome!!!!!

I performed a full hydraulic service last week and changed from standard udt to super udt. The tranny now seems to be smoother, quieter and a little quicker to respond? Just for the record the tractor has 750 hours.

Seeking opinions gentlemen. I have a GL 3540 hsdc, turf tires, 724 fel and a kubota weight box full of 3/4" stone. The machine weighs in @ approximately 6000 lbs. I hate to buy a 6' pusher if the machine can handle an 8' pusher. 6' weighs 400 lbs, the 8' weighs 500 lbs.

Im trying to decide on a snow set up for my 3540. Years ago i had a front blower & front blade for my b7500, both worked very well but it was not what you would call a quick change. Is the subframe set up on the 40 series any faster to mount up, i assume the subframe can stay on with the fel on.

Today was one of those cab love days! I had to apply 4000 # of pelletized lime to a 10 acre site. It was 23 degrees when i landed this morning, high for the day was 28 and the wind was 10-15 mph all day!

I installed new speakers in the factory cab today. I blew one a couple of weeks ago and its been driving me crazy! I installed kicker 400's and they sound great, rated for 50 watts! I must give kubota credit, the factory speakers were better quality than i expected.

The 40 series is a walk in the park to service. All drain plugs and filters are easy to access and the fuel system is simple to bleed. Lots to like about the grand L 40's!

I had my new 3540 HSDC working in the feild today. I was shocked at how much fuel she used, granted theres only 9 hours, so shes not broken in. Perhaps i was spoiled by years of my B series machines sipping fuel?

Are there several versions of rim guard? My salesmen sold me a rear tire fill (B3030 turfs) he called it citrus star, a version of maple syrup. On the paperwork from the kubota dealer it just says rim guard.
