Front axle oil change with Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90

I put Amsoil 75w110 in my past two front axles, and use 75w140 in all of my gear boxes. Most of the gear boxes get changed on a very loose schedule of every few years. The gear boxes on my diesel zero turns get changed by the book every 150 hours due to the severe service 6-8 hours per day.

    Flail Mower for Hedges?

Hedges and general vertical mowing were also a secondary consideration for me when I got a ditch bank flail. I guess it all depends on the type of vegetation and blades, but cutting anything vertical so far has been unimpressive for me. It does do a basic hack job up to 6 or 7 feet

Sub 12" stumps could be ground in just a few minutes each. As long as there is no issue with the remaining tree below 4 inches or so, I would just grind them. Backhoes are great when the whole stump has to come out, but then you have a hole to fill, and a stump to get rid of.

Flail Mower Considering Betstco Flail cutter/mower

I was in the same decision making boat last year... Too many options and conflicting information. Buying a ZTR, what should I look for, or avoid?

I think all of those brands have quality mowers. The Stihls I believe are rebadged Ferris mowers, and with suspension, would be comfortable. For gas engines I prefer Kawasaki, Yamaha, or Honda. My Kawasaki walk behind is 22 years old and still running perfectly.

    What coolant do you use?

That's a normal interval for the "standard green" coolant that comes in all of the Kubota machines I've owned. The problem from a landscaper's perspective is that most clients want their grass cut (scalped) very short, thinking it looks better and will require fewer cuts during the season. Tiller slip clutch

    Resharpen or Replace

I would imagine the blades would have to be pretty rounded off to have cutting issues, and even then the amount of blade overlap should make up for it. I've always read that the majority of grass is cut with the last 1/4" of the blade, and to keep them square.... So I try to keep them that way...
  114. RjCorazza

    Resharpen or Replace
