Moving and need to buy a new TLB next year.

Personally, I'd go with a brand that has a servicing dealer near by.

    Std. or HD pallet forks?

That's a very good point, what's easy now probably won't be in 10 years.

    Std. or HD pallet forks?

You seem to have your mind set on the QA forks, which are nice, no question there. For your stated use however, a set of clamp on forks would serve you just fine, and come in at less than $200. Money saved could be used for another implement down the road.

    Rotary Cutter Keeping Outdoors

It won't hurt a thing to keep it outside, mine is under cover, because it's available to me. If I didn't have that available to me, I would just put it up on blocks, and throw a water proof tarp over it.

    Rotary Cutter Keeping Outdoors

I keep my implements under cover when I can. Flail mower and tiller stay in a storage building, everything else is under a lean to that is up against the barn. My tractor stays in the garage, keeps the mice and other wildlife out of the electricals, and air cleaner. One thing I've done for my...

Hydraulic spin on element Mahindra 4035

Hey all, I need to change the spin on hydraulic filter on my Mahindra 4035, can someone please tell me roughly how much fluid I'm going to lose? I'm assuming about a filters worth plus a little more since it sits higher on the tractor. Thanks

    Air filter

Does your tractor have a single or dual air filter setup? Someone may have forgotten to install the secondary filter, and fine dust that passes by the primary filter is what that is for.

    Last service

If you are talking about voiding your warranty, I do not believe you do, just save your receipts, and use OEM approved products.

Front axle pivot point greasing 4035

I have a 4035 Mahindra that has two grease zerks near the front axle. Mahindra calls them "pillow blocks" in the manual. I've greased them, but don't know how much to apply, I can't hear it or see it to know it's full. Any thoughts?

    Damned Trans Strainer 4035

Yeah, I would clean it and put it back in, then you are good to go for 1000 hrs, at least on the PST transmission, can't speak for the other models of the 4035.

stupid simple question: fuel-safe/fuel resistant material for seals on gas spouts?

Sure, it's both through life experience, (30 years in rubberized products) and through this site. What I found was that silicone flat stock tuned gooey when exposed to gasoline and diesel, as a general rule. Here's the site I use, it's 4 pages but is alphabetical so that helps. Rubber...

stupid simple question: fuel-safe/fuel resistant material for seals on gas spouts?

Your choice, but if I'm going through the trouble to hand cut a seal, I'm going to choose the best material for the job.

stupid simple question: fuel-safe/fuel resistant material for seals on gas spouts?

100% agree with the Buna-N (Nitrile), Neoprene doesn't fare well with gasoline or diesel.

Trans Fluid for a MF Super 90

I had a MF 255 that called for Permatran III, I used TSC's universal tractor fluid without any problems, I checked before I used it to make sure it was compatible with the Permatran, and it was. No problems whatsoever.

stupid simple question: fuel-safe/fuel resistant material for seals on gas spouts?

In short, Silicone is not a good recommendation for either gasoline or diesel. Nitrile will be your friend. Silicone has an unsatisfactory rating for both, and will turn to mush.

Mahindra 4035pst value, and is this enough tractor for me?

I have this exact same tractor, Mahindra 4035 PST (2015), and use it frequently. I do all of what you are wanting to do with the tractor, and it has never let me down. I've brush hogged grass that was taller than me, but I did have to drop down a gear, to Low 3. I use it to clear snow in the...

    Pouring fuel from cans

For my gas and diesel cans I drill out the air vent with a 3/8" drill bit, then go to the hardware store and buy corks, that press fit into the hole. I do the same with missing snap on caps the filler spout when eventually fall off. Has forked for years.

    Rodents win again

This ^^ exactly when we moved into our house our barn was full of mice. We got one cat and then another. We feed them, and they have a heated water bowl, and right now they are parked on a Lazy-Boy I found in someones trash with a heating pad on top. We have zero vermin, and they help with the...

    What if....?

Here's my .02 if you have acreage you need a tractor, I have a Mahindra 4035, and use the bucket all the time to "tote" stuff, especially firewood. That being said there are times I hire things done. I bought 2.5 acres that butted up to our 10. It was so thick, and full of Honey Locust thorn...

Shear Bolt Broke On New Deck. PTO Shaft & Gear Box Holes Don't Align.

I have a similar problem with a John Deere rotary mower. Mine's used and the the output shaft's hole is slightly oblong from wear. I shear bolts all the time. When the bolt is installed and snugged up I can rock it back and forth. IMO that is the OP's problem, If he bought it new, JD should fix...

After market hydaulic filter 4035 PST

Hi all, I am looking for an aftermarket hydraulic filter for my Mahindra 4035. After my first motor oil change I cut the OEM filter apart, and found it was a Fram clone. Glued on cardboard end caps, that I paid $27 for. Fortunately, I was able to cross the oil filter to a Baldwin B202. I have...

Oil & Fuel  Refilling the trans/hydro fluid 4035

Hi All, long time looker first time poster. I have a Mahindra 4035 shuttle shift. I need to replace the 10 gallons of fluid it holds through what appears to be a 1/2" fill hole located right above the PTO output shaft. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for adding that much fluid through such a...
