I would start by marking the rear tires to the rims. With loaded tires it is not uncommon for the rims to spin in the tire and could make a sound like you describe. Try working it again then see if the mark moves. Solution is put a little more air in the rear tires.

I would look closely at the crankshaft position sensor. Some of the earlier versions had a problem wire chafing on sensor wires so inspect them closely.

I suspect it is not getting fuel to the injectors. Could be the fuel stop solenoid is not getting power. Because the glow plugs are not working and it doesn’t run, it could be a ground issue for the relays or blown fuses.

Yes it is straight forward. Your new control valve needs to be open center and have it’s own pressure relief valve and it needs to have power beyond port with the appropriate sleeve or plug depending on the valve design.

When you say no start does that mean it turns over but will not run? Or the starter is not spinning the engine? It should run without the glow plugs energized unless it is really cold where you live.

Personally I would not even worry with it.

Let us know how it goes. I had to settle for a little wider belt than original but it has been working fine. Around here they don’t have belt gauges to measure anymore. The just use a tape measure so it took a couple of trips to get one that would work.

The fact you question whether it is wise leads me to say yes you could damage something. You will save yourself a lot of heartache if you learn to listen that little voice. Especially when operating equipment.

Is there any warning lights on the dash? You might could remove this tube as a test for the exhaust. But I would think a light would be on if the filter was plugged.

Another thing to check is if the county will set the culvert for you. Here our county road department will do it for free if we provide the culvert.

I would inspect the air filter to start with. I do however agree with ptsg that the DPF may be clogged. Could you post a picture of the DPF or DOC of this tractor. There may be a plug before the filter that could be removed to see if it will run better as a test.

We always used Roundup in a wick applicator for Johnson Grass. This worked well and is better than spraying in my opinion. Only kills what it touches.

The bolt and sleeve I believe was just to make it quick hitch compatible. If you are not using a quick hitch then removing it all together would not hurt a thing and save you a lot of work and worry.

This is exactly how I do it. My flail actually has the option of using the slot or a fixed hole. I definitely get a smoother cut using the slot and setting the lift arms to level. In my mind I don’t see it all that different than the way I set my 3pt Bush Hog rotary cutter. Just a shorter version.

Love it when someone is selling something with an obvious problem and say it is a very easy fix. If it is an easy fix why not fix it before you sell it. I would walk away. No telling what else is wrong with it.

I think a lot varies depending on dealer. Like my Branson has true 3rd function 2 button. It was ordered with that. Most of this stuff is add on at the assembly plant or dealer.

Control valve leaking back to tank or an external leak somewhere that you should be able to see.

Just for fun, I would try to wipe it down with some olive oil. I have done that trick on some plastic screens with great results. It certainly won’t hurt anything.

I thought the 5520C came with 2 rear remotes standard? Maybe that was just the way my dealer ordered for his inventory. Agree with ptsg, 4 range gears is enough reason to go with the 5520.

That engine sure sounds like it wants to fire off. It needs to turn over a little faster and I think it would. A good set of jumper cables from a running truck might do the trick. There isn’t a decompression valve on this tractor is there? I’m pretty sure not but could be wrong.

If bought used, maybe contact the seller and ask what oil he was using? Being used you have no assurance that the recommended oil was used. Might not be a bad idea to pull it all out and start fresh with the oil of your choice.

Look at the Ford/New Holland 105A tiller and see if that looks like the right one. I believe that is what you have.

I would suspect it is one of your remote disconnects couplers not letting fluid out. I doubt it is a mechanical problem if it moved in the one direction. Try disconnecting and reconnecting several times. Sometimes that helps. May have to just replace the couplers.

I would not start anything else until you get the injectors in. Hopefully it fires, then you can do some test before deciding what is next. Distilled water in battery and battery on a charger is about all you can do right now.

My first thought is compressor clutch is not engaging. Why was compressor replaced? Maybe give more information as to what was wrong and all the steps in order from the beginning.
