    The purpose of the baffles on a mulch kit, is to keep the grass contained in an area so as to be repeatedly cut by the blades thus making the residual smaller. Grass indeed can get stuck in the passageways, underneath the mulch collars and eventual exits as these pieces become finer and finer.

    Good advice on all points. If not suspension then at least a comfort sprung seat. Mowing 5 acres is no small task on a weekly basis and with obstructions such as trees and such, lever movements are going to be numerous so only the best componentry should be had.

    I mostly have weights on the trailer averaging 8000 lbs.+ trailer. The 3/4 ton Chevy with the 6.1 does an excellent job in all aspects. If I was indeed hauling 17,000 lbs, I’d have gone diesel even with the $10,000 premium for the engine.

    Yeah it’s hysterical. A 20’ 5 ton trailer weighs less than 2500 lbs. What ppl fail to know that even if it states it’s a 5 ton capacity, it really should only hold 7000 lbs. You wanna hold more than that then get a 7 ton. An empty trailer such as this is no big deal to pull and stop.
