The price builder shows what it costs to order new. Comparing the new tractor price builder to what 4 different dealers quoted (and I paid one of them) was about 40% more than ordering at the time of purchase. Non- warranty and new sales service work must be where the profit margins are for dealers. IDK if your dealership has a different business model, but this was my experience.
So you’re talking installations from the factory or assembly point?
Remotes that are standard on our products are not listed as separate pricing items.
You can rest assured that they have built in pricing
however.
If a customer wanted more, I haven’t seen the option to order more on our builder site.
The option must be at the dealer level to my way of thinking.
Hence the same pricing if always provided by the dealer.
We hardly sell our largest 6000 series. But even on that build site, I still don’t see an option listed for more remotes there.
That tractor comes with one or two remotes but states the option for more.

The top and tilt kit (2 remotes) ordered with the tractor is $1098. When I had 3 remotes installed post purchase from the dealer, I paid $3500. And this was the cheapest quote of 4 different dealers.

I bought my tractor intentionally without rear remotes with the plan of doing it myself. Cost me about $400 to add them where the dealer wanted 4 times that to add them before delivery.

I thought about doing that, but the factory kit levers fit so nice in the designed slots and feel ergonomically correct. The aftermarket kits just look and feel like clunky add ons to me. This likely doesn’t matter to most people.

I didn't use a kit, I purchased a two spool valve from summit and plumbed it in. I mounted the valve on the right side fender where it's just inches away from the tip of the loader valve so operating it is so easy and feels very natural. I honestly can't see it being any better or easier. Had I opted for the factory kit, the levers would have been down and to the side of the seat which I wouldn't have liked.

For those quoted prices I hope this MX comes with a cab.

  • Local dealer MX5400 — $49,250 (who I'm currently working with)
  • Other local dealer MX5400 — $47,000
  • Other local dealer MX6000 — $49,000
  • Dealer 3 hours away MX6000 — $48,600 delivered

I priced 5 area dealers when I bought my Kubota.

I'm jealous of you Kubota guys!

Around here, all the John Deere dealers consolidated into a mega group. There is no shopping around any more if you're green.

Don’t feel too badly. With factory incentives and finance programs, pricing is not that much different from dealer to dealer of the same
brand.

That’s very true. About the only significant variability is what dealers will do to close the sale, like tire filling, free delivery, ect…
