    BX Auxiliary Chain Box mod!

nice work on it. I did very similar thing with an ammo can about 5 years ago and I have loved it. I didn't put drain holes in and things stay very dry in the box but I also don't put things in there wet. not the best picture but you can see it down by the right side.

Info on Hydraulic Top Link needed

I made one a couple years ago. find the size bore you want and the stroke length you desire then weld extensions on to the length you need to make it work. important that you have enough of an extension that the cylinder doesn't bind against where it connects to the tractor.

    Covering 3 pt implements ?

The only real way to keep them from not only the element but from the sun is to use a shed. The draw back to the shed is then you have to maintain the the shed and incur the cost of building it. I personally built my shed so that I didn't have to look at them all laying around. I built...

New PTO generator and 3pt carrier

I bought the Genny last year and made most of the carrier last year but waited a year to paint it. I have finally learned to not be to quick to paint because I often want to modify things after I try them out. Genny is Voltmaster 12k.

    TSC paint sucks

I have had my problems with getting yellow to cover as well. Here is a picture of nozzle problems with the Valspar. I was just painting along today and "bam" paint everywhere in my hand. The other issue I have with Valspar is that is is not as glossy and you end up with flat unblended...

Single Lid CUT Wicked Grapple..If your compact tractor could talk....

Here you go. Hope this helps. I wish they where secured a little better like some others I have seen that have the fittings at the end going through a metal bracket that doesn't allow it to bend. Overall i like it better than the kits that just zip tie to the loader hoses.

    Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Who's ready for winter 13/14 ?

Piston, not sure if you guys have had any luck but I prefer just running front tire chains and I really wanted the Aqualine MPC chains for the font tires but was told they don't make them in that small a size. Anyone else have luck finding them for the front tires?

Here is my my old Farm King (Buhler). I think it is somewhere in the range of 20 years old but is a tank and the technology hasn't really changed. I found this one on CL 4 years ago and added the hydraulic chute rotator and deflectors. with the thickness of the metal on these things, I...

Just picked up a new Woods Brush Bull 60. I won't be using it anymore this year since the snow is ready to fly but I couldn't pass up the deal since the dealer was looking to get rid of 2013 inventory. I won't miss my old light duty Howse flying apart all the time.

Here is the one I made 2 years ago. It works for me because I only split about 2 cords a year and it is usually from some dead fallen tree in my woods on the side of a hill. I like being able to maneuver through the woods and back right up to my wood then use the top and tilt to keep it all...

Gentlemen, can some tell me if there is just a 5/16" lever/over center load binder? All I can find is 1/4" or 3/8". Both will work with 5/16" chain but I was hoping to find 5/16" because the others seem a little small or big.

Could This Be The Best Lawn Aerator Ever??

48" across is perfect but I don't want to mount it to a 3pt. I don't want to buy 1k dollar 3pt just to use this once a year. I have my larger tractor for the 3pt work but in most yards a large tractor does more damage than good. I was thinking of making my own if i just knew where a guy...

New X749 with 54C deck has terrible cut quality

I probably mow every 5 days with the amount of rain we are having and by then I end up cutting 5inch grass down to 3.5 inches. The main issue is that I have found the mulching kit doesn't produce enough lift to do a good job pulling up the grass ran over by the front tires. I stopped at the...

Gentlemen, I have had my new 2012 X749 with 54C deck for 3 months now and I notice that I was very disappointed with the quality of the cut. Mainly because the deck didn't seem to be producing enough lift to pull up the grass that the front tires pushed down. So the lawn just looked terrible...
