    What kind of antifreeze?

I have a Case IH D155 engine. What kind of antifreeze do I need for this engine? I also have a 5 cylinder Kubota, and I need to know what kind of antifreeze for it too. Do I need the heavy duty antifreeze pre-charged or is conventional ethylene glycol okay? Thanks for your advice.

    Aftermarket radiators

The radiator in my Case IH 385 tractor has a few leaking places and the filler neck is damaged. I took it out with the intention of having it repaired. tractor shopping: Mahindra 575 DI?

I'm looking at a 575 DI machine, made only one year. Anyone have any comments on the durability or chronic problems with this model? Why were they only made one year? Thanks for any comments. Gene

    Ford became NH when?

I'm looking at a Ford 2910 that the man says is a 1992 model. The sources I can find don't list them as being built as late as '92. When was the last one built? Any pro's and con's welcome Thanks, Gene

    IH 354 gas tractor

I'm seriously considering buying a IH 354 gasoline tractor. It has 1800 hours on the clock, and looks like it might be actual. The tractor is very clean and tight, runs good, cool, very good oil pressure. I had a chance to run it with a brush hog for about an hour. I know you guys are going to...

    tractor specification site?

Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted here, I've been off into flathead Fords. Some of the bookmarks in my "favorites" have disappeared and I've lost the site that has a section for tractor specs, serial number ages, etc. Can anyone help me with a URL? I hope I've not been too vague...

    Muffler construction

The verticle muffler on my L2250 seems to be getting louder. There are no holes in the outer shell, but the noise is louder around the lower end close to the manifold. Does anyone know if the actual muffler is enclosed in a shell? If so, is the inner section available, or do I toss and replace...

    Balancing brush hog blades

I noticed my brush hog has developed a wobble at certain speeds, like the blades might be out of balance. They're the 1/4" thick ones and have been sharpened 3-4 times. How do you balance the blades? Do you weigh them? I have a cone balancer for my mower blades, but have never balanced brush...

    Fire ant control

I saw in a post in the "attachments" forum where someone hit a fire ant bed and bent a brush hog blade. I realized that I have been reading this site for more than a year and don't remember seeing any threads on control of the rascals. I did a search and didn't find much, either. What are tried...

Rake  Replace a boxblade, disc, and rake with this?

I found this, and thought it was revelant to the recent posts on blades and rakes. Anyone seen one work? http://www.tr3rake.com/index.asp

    checking valve clearance

I bought an L2250 2wd back in June. I've put several hours on it, gotten use to it's characteristics and love it. I've made a few adjustments and repairs, and built a grill guard and a belly pan. I bought it from a dealer and have since talked to the previous (only) owner about the scheduled...

Rephrase previous question on lift speed

I had previously asked a question suggesting that I wanted to slow the hydraulic lift speed on my newly acquired L2250. After more use, I think what I would really like is to "feather" the lift a little better. With the engine at rpm to run a cutter the lift is very jerky when trying to raise...

    lift speed adjustment

I've had a chance to put about 3 hourmeter hours on my new-to-me L2250. I've got a 5' cutter on it and have been mowing bahaya (sp?)grass. The little rascal just won't stall! I've had to learn how to hold on...It's a little more bouncy than my 1520 John Deere was, BUT it out- maneuvers the big...
