I joined TBN a little over a year now and have gained valuable experience in both things I already knew (or thought I knew) and many new subjects. Considering that this is the first time I have lived on rural property and purchased a JD 3320 tractor, I really appreciate learning from the wisdom and others mistakes so I don't make the same ones and get the job done correctly the first time around. I also hope that some of my posts have helped others as much as theirs have helped me.

Thanks again for a great community for us to share our knowledge, ideas and complaints.

What this site means to me? I consider it the ultimate resource for answers on compact tractors. As a bonus, I've learned quite a bit of other stuff in some of the other forums here like country living. I hope I help with my occassional posts in the Lawn & Garden tractor forum. I've enjoyed the site very much. And I appreciate the help from all the folks here that answered my questions.

One of the things that makes TBN so successful is the moderators. They keep the site clean, the content appropriate and the discussions amicable. I think this is a driving force behind the type of members and posters this site attracts.

As for the members, there're none finer. The nature of the site attracts folks with a common bond and sense of values. We're able to discuss differences and commonalities with equal vigor, but we're always mindful of the other posters values and respect their views. It's helped form a band of brethren that crosses the country and circles the globe.

We've watched our "virtual friends" win awards, celebrate births and even get married. As friends, we've been there to give advice, lend a sympathic ear and offer our heartfelt condolences in times of grief.

It's no surprise that this site has reached 1 million posts, 2 million won't be far behind.

When I joined TBN I did not have a tractor or know much about them. The people on here helped me learn enough, that now I am the proud owner of my own Kubota with a lot of TBN addons. Thanks everyone

Great site. Nothing inappropriate, just people willing to share their knowledge with others. One of the best sites on the web.

Well... TractorByNet convinced me to purchase my Jinma tractor. After reading many of the posts from all the people that use this board I figured I couldn't go wrong. I can't describe in this appreciation thread how many different ways I've used the tractor, but it has been a good investment.

I'm sure all the users find the board useful, regardless of what type of information their looking for.

Thanks for providing a place for users to exchange ideas and information on a variety of topics.

Dear Fellow TBNers,

First let me say what an honor it is to have met and shared with all of you during the past eight years (since August 1998, I think). I have never felt as inspired as I do now looking at the literally one million messages that you all have made, it just staggers the mind. Of course as my sons, Ibrahim & Muhammad, are the original inspiration for this site, I am especially proud of them too.

As many of you remember, at the beginning we were all so thrilled to have any place to “connect,” to stop and say hello, to share, to educate, and to exchange ideas on a vast array of topics.

As I personally have read at least several hundred thousand of these messages, I am amazed to find so many truly creative voices, the “stories” of peoples lives, that are so much more interesting and meaningful than just “facts.”

Remember the line we invented at one point to summarize what TBN is all about: “Neighbors helping neighbors.” I think that pretty well sums it all up.

As you can tell by reading these posts in this thread, the notion of friendly help has taken on a life of its own. It is literally true that TBN touches people in every state, and a great many foreign countries. It is no exaggeration to say that "the sun never sets on TBN."

So I say to all of you who have been the ones who “made” TBN what it is: THANK YOU ALL! But more than the tremendous contributions of the esteemed members and guests, our extremely dedicated Moderators deserve more credit than anyone, for their selfless service, being present at all times, and for their understanding, patience and forbearance.

Okay folks, let’s gas ‘em up and go -- on to two million! It promises to be a great ride, like no other. TBN IS AMAZING!

I am addicted to online forums and visit at least eight most workdays. The information I've learned from them is not only priceless but would be impossible to acquire any other way.

TractorByNet is the first and last forum I visit each day and the one I visit most frequently (owning my business has some advantages.... not the least of which is not caring that employees will see this forum on my monitor many times during the day).

Of all the forums I visit, TractorByNet is the ONLY one where I refer to the members as "my online friends". I use that term because it's true. Hopefully the next generation of computers will allow us to enjoy virtual cool drinks or coffee together too. All the other forums have just "other members".

This site markets a book that saved me much grief. I thought I wanted a CUT but after buying and reading the book, I realized that the CUT was not suited for my terrain or uses.

Without TBN I would've never heard of Power-Trac, which is what I bought and what I'm using most weekends instead of looking at forums. Since there is no dealer network for the little tractor, it is through TBN that any operation or service or modification questions get answered.

What a sucsess of a web site.

I was rebuilding an old TO-20 and Soundguy steped right in and helped through the process. Started shopping for a replacement tractor and BlueChip and GregG helped much. 3RRL with similar tractors and fun projects from a true machinest..HighBeam and our Concrete home plans. And I can't leave out EddyWalker, Texas tractor man with a wife weilding a high powered rifle!

Friends!, That's what it's all about. Some new and some from the start. Hey a few fights and or stepping on a few toes, but......

I will proudly place my TBN bumber sticker next to my "What would Scooby Do?" bumper sticker.

TBN started out as a very useful resource for buying my first tractor. However, I have found that my interests and outlook very much match most of the members on this site. I come here first looking for help for my tractor, fixing a well pump, getting advice on a new roof and all that other great rural stuff. There is a wealth of information here thanks to all the very knowledgeable and helpful members. And this is the most mature and respectful forum I have come across on the net (and I visit a bunch)! Keep up this great site.
