I started reading TBN about five yrs ago. Through TBN, I figured out that a BX2200 was the tractor for me--didn't even go look at any others!

After my purchase is where the real value came in. I saw grill guards, skid plates, and many numerous home made tools that I knew I had to have. I built my own grill guard, skid plate, added FEL chain hooks, a harrow, a ripper, and a ballast box.

Added Pat's easy change system based on info here--great product.

From TBN, I know I need to watch my air cleaner support strap and my power steering hoses as potential failures. And my electrical switches if they get wet.

I try to post pics of the stuff I build, so that others might find them beneficial.

The people that post here are great people, generally willing to help and always offer an opinion. This is a GREAT SITE.

During my last couple of years at work, this site was a therapy session for me. I read it every day at lunch. Now I'm addicted!

Keep up the great site!

Ron

What can I say about this place? There is not another resource online that can give you such user experiences about all the brands of tractors, implements, etc ........period. I own an 8 acre piece of southern paradise and have been keeping up the property with a Hustler Z 60". It was doing the job but cant do other jobs I need it too. After doing some searches for Tractor information, I found this awesome place that gave me a wealth of information, consumer knowledge and it helped steer me towards the equipment that I purchased recently.
Not only do I get a kick about the tractor knowledge, the project thread is absolutely awesome. It has given me some ideas I plan on using around our place in the near future.
Kudos to TBN and hoping that I am around to celebrate your 2,000,000th post.

Hi all, I was out working (on the tractor) yesterday when this milestone was reached but I'll add my 2 cents this morning.

TBN is the reason I have the tractor I do because I was able to read of others experiences. TBN is the reason I have the implements I have for the same reason. TBN is how I have gone from never having owned a tractor to being able to efficiently clear 3+ acres of land over the past year as I have been able to post questions and learn about strategies, techniques, equipment etc necessary for the job. TBN has provided me with insights on safety and maintenance that I would otherwise have been dangerously ignorant of. Mostly however, TBN has been a great on line community and family. A bit of squabbling now and again but basically a great group of people with a common purpose and altruistic attitudes. It's been a pleasure. Thanks to all.

I found TBN while searching the internet for information on my tractor. Little did I know, I was about to find a huge wealth of information and a friendly online community with the same interests as myself. There are other tractor forums on the internet, but this is definately one of best in terms of site design, forum layout, and content and contributions from it's users.

I am new to TBN. I was a lurker for about 2 years before I finally bought my 4320. Since then I have been an everyday reader and have gained much knowledge and really enjoy logging in to see what's new. I have found TBN and all the posters to be friendly, informative, and extremly helpful. This is in contrast to the experiences that I have had with my local dealers. It seems if one is not a lifelong farmer/tractor owner these dealers do not take you seriously. It's nice to have found an open and honest home for discussions about a topic that I am truly passionate about. Thanks for the first million posts and here's to the next million. Cheers!

Three and a half years ago I was a lawn tractor operator who wanted more. I bought a 4 wheel drive Kubota sub compact tractor from a local vendor with no concept of how to operate the thing. I'd never even owned a deisel before. Within a week or so of buying the tractor I found these forums. From that very day I knew I had tapped in to someplace very special. The amount of knowledge here was unfathomable. It quickly became part of my daily routine to log in here and read the forums and it still is. I can now run my tractor and several attachments fairly competantly, including loader and back hoe.

I credit this forum with keeping me alive and fairly safe as I operate my tractor. Without the advice here I would certainly have rolled this unit within the first month.

I have performed routine maintenance as well as several upgrades to the tractor using the advice and descriptions provided here, and I have returned the favor.

I have shared information about my tractor and my experiences with countless people here, but I have also shared stories and opinions on many other related subjects.

I even received comfort and support from kind hearted people when my younger brother passed away suddenly.

In short, this forum is like one big family, providing far more than a little information about tractors.

I like to work projects by first running through all the stages in my mind, especially if I have never done this work before. When I get all the components figured out, I then start working on acquiring the pieces (usually looking to save money on each piece if possible). Sometimes projects expand and unfold and run to areas I had never thought of before. Sometimes I get plain stumped and the project sits for a long time until I can figure it out (ask the Mrs about her first set of bookcases:eek: ).

TBN means help to me with those projects, be it getting “un-stumped”, savings on components, people who have done this before and are willing to share with me their path through the work.

I purchased my Kubota L3010, I purchased and installed a toothbar (with the teeth pointed in the right direction!), I am working to save a barn, I am planning to either add a grapple to my bucket or purchase a QA adaptor & root grapple, I plan on adding hooks to my FEL bucket (with a most gracious offer of welding assistance from AlanB!), I am planning on adding rear remotes, I have pasture to clear, fence to set, and trails to run, all with help from the TBN family.

I agree with what Hazmat said:

it's not what you know, it's who you know that matters - well I'm here to say that tbn is the best "who" I've found in the world.

I very much appreciate the help I have received from the TBN family. I hope to be able to add back as I walk down more paths.

If TBN means sharing, here's sharing my view of "Young Buck" this morning while eating Pancakes and viewing the 1,000,000th TBN post. Gotta go play on my tractor now... I mean work!!:D
