10 hour grease job question

My snowblower has one that the recommended amount is 2 pumps. I have NO idea what that is on my electric one, so I just leave it on for a second or two. It would be nice to know.

Milwaukee has some really neat tools and seems to push things forward in the industry. I just have so many dewalt batteries I keep buying their tools. It's a viscous cycle. :confused3:

My Dewalt makes a pumping sound and hitting 2 pumps is easy. Does yours not do it?

I noticed it sort of "pulses" but I didn't hear it make any noise that signals one pump. I've only used it once since I just got it last week though. I will listen better next time.

I'm the same way. My Sons use all Milwaukee stuff. Their comparable drills, etc., put my DeWalt tools to shame. Like all technology today, everything changes at an alarming pace. I think my DeWalt batteries are obsolete. :(

I use a Lincoln Power Lube 12 volt with only one battery and charger when purchased over 10 years ago, Lincoln PowerLuber 12-Volt Grease Gun

I have never run the battery dead and do not charge it that often.

I also purchased the Lincoln Grease Adapter Kit, Model 58000, Lincoln Industrial > Products > Grease Guns & Accessories > Grease Gun Accessories > Grease coupler extensions & adapters

I am also a BIG fan of the lock n lube extra long grease coupler, Grease Couplers | LockNLube(R) - LOCKNLUBE

When I made my purchase, I think the choices were but only a few, but now almost everyone make a cordless grease gun.

If I were to purchase a replacement today (if my Lincoln would ever fail), I would choose a M12 Milwaukee grease gun kit (these 12 volt batteries beat any of my old Dewalt 18v batteries), 12-volt Cordless Lithium-Ion Grease Gun Kit

I am a fan of these Milwaukee M12 tools, and also like my cordless caulking gun.

Sounds like a good time to make the switch! Batteries are 70% of the tool cost these days its seems!

I have eleven batteries, some purchased in 2009, that all still work, which has little to do with them being obsolete. :)

The Milwaukee stuff is nice. My BIL has been helping me wire a cabin and we both had our rechargeable tools. I used his Milwaukee drill several times and really didn’t want to pickup my Ryobi tools after that. At this point as a DIY guy I am married to the Ryobi stuff. In almost 20 years I have never had a problem with Ryobi other than batteries that eventually give up the ghost but I would sure like a full set of Milwaukee tools. The quality and power of their stuff just feels better :)

Yeah, Milwaukee has seriously devoted itself to the rechargeable tool market. So common now to see professionals using Milwaukee that you notice if one isn't.

From reading this thread I decided it was time to grease my FEL. The grease was so thick I couldn't get it primed in order to pump it with my standard type grease gun. I had to start a fire in the wood-burner to heat the gun and grease up to about 80 degrees. It is a lithium grease recommended by Deere and comes in tubes. Does that sound normal? 50 degrees in shop.

Milwaukee is the actual reason when my dewalt stuff stops working, the color of my tools suddenly changed from yellow to red.
Good reason for it. The red stuff is so much nicer, and actually lasting longer without issues vs the yellow stuff. The red stuff just feels like better quality when using it.
