I’ve been shopping in the 75-80 pto range- 50 series Deere and similar… I think I’m going to go a bit larger however.
That being said I’ve looked at mf, Deere, kubota, case, nh, mahindra and a few others.
My local mahindra dealers won’t sell anything over a 75 engine hp or that would most likely be my choice considering proximity and cost- they seem to be no frills work machines.
The mf dealer I went to is fantastic but 1.5 hours away- the tractors seem to be built really well however I was a little concerned about long term parts supply because of the smaller numbers sold.
The local new Holland dealer told me it was a privilege to have their number after stroking me for close to two months on a mower and wasting a bunch of my time- I would be going with a low hour t5 if I had a local dealer worth a crap.
My L4350 has been great- I also considered a larger kubota however they seem to be a bit “prettier” than older kubota and other tractors brands- I have two local dealers that are decent but they didn’t make it past my first round.
I’m leaning toward a 70’s or 80’s Deere for bigger hp needs- something I can work on and still get the parts for and a 75hp mahindra for loader work and chores or at early 2000’s pre emissions 6 series Deere.
I’ve spent a bunch of time cleaning and clearing my land and think it’s wise to get something a little rougher to clean it up and then trade into something a little nicer once you’re done “beating it up”
Hope this helps!
