$1100.00 For CK-20 Hood - ridiculous

$1100 may be what everyone is charging but I would never pay that to fix any cosmetic damage on a tractor. I also agree with you and believe that $1100 is to much for me to pay for a piece of sheet metal.
If you buy it make sure it comes with a wall hanging kit and hang it on your living room wall and maybe install some spot lights focused on it so you can truly enjoy this piece of art without damaging it! Hahaha

Malk, I feel your pain. Shortly after buying a new Cub Cadet riding mower, I ran into its cart and put a big dent into the hood. Man was I ticked. Beat myself up over that one pretty good. I took off the hood, used a small block of wood and hammer and beat the dent out, mostly. Then I went down to Ace and found a can of spray paint. It was a perfect match as far as I can tell. It looks fine to me now. I'd suggest that you do the same. In a few months, you will not even think about it. Plus it will be another project for you and your brother as you try to "fix" it.

Comes a point when every new machine has to become a working machine.

I would hammer out the old one as best I could and live with it. Consider it a bit of personality for the tractor. You will get used to looking at it.

I dropped some split wood on the hood of my DK35. I didn't bother to get a price on a new one. Removed a few bolts, got out the body hammer and knocked out most of the dent. It all popped out except for a couple small creases on the edge. A little bondo and some Kioti paint and it's as good as new.

With all the folks reporting their dents and mishaps, maybe this is just a right of passage. Like the first scratch or parking lot ding on a new car. It may hurt a bit but is not something to get too riled up about. And definitely not something worth throwing $1100 of good implement money at.

The tires were changed about 5 years ago. It has 4000 hours on it. My son put the tires on backwards because we plow snow in reverse and for mowing it doesn’t make a difference. Every time I post a picture someone points out the backwards tires and I need explain why. I went years without noticing what he had done and then someonw told me they were backwards. If you look carefully you can see the bent hood. Next summer we hope to restore it to original condition and will probably switch the tires just so people stop telling us they are on backwards.

They are just on the wrong side, not backwards.

i think we all have a few nics and dents on our machines. Take the hood off and take it to an auto shop to see what they would do to fix it. or do it your self. pound out the dent then use Bondo to smooth it out, sand and paint. Body work is body work, whether its a car or tractor.

For everybodies knowledge, not all tractor manuafacturers are overpriced on parts.
just priced the complete hood and grill assembly for a TYM T330
List price - 337.34 This includes the headlights.
Something to think about.....
