cig lighter, different trailer connectors (standard 4 up to what is 7 or 11pin), along with regular house hold 110v and 220v connectors.
on the 30 gallon sprayer little trailer. i either pull with 6v 1950ish allis chalmers ca tractor or with a truck or like. the 12v battery i use for both the pond raft and sprayer, ends up getting drained when needed, so have rigged up regular 110v plug female connection to sprayer wires, then another short wire with alligator clips for battery, to male 110v plug. i can either plug the 2 wires together and connect to 12v battery right on spray rig. or i can run an extension cord between the 2 wires. so i can run extension cord through back of truck, through rear window, through passenger side window and wrapped around mirror. and then up under the hood to battery on vehicle.
i would like to say i wanted to use regular 4pin trailer wiring harness or cigerette lighter connections. but then i would have to deal with an extension cord that was specially made with ends, i have lots of regular 110v extension cords. and no real need to worry about what is around when it comes time to hookup sprayer to what ever vehicle and/or tractor this way.
if i need to create a small conversion plug for something else, simple enough to work with above doing. and it lets me run a 12v flashlight or something further away from vehicle or tractor or what ever. if i use a 110v male plug to what ever connection type i needed for a given device say 12v cig lighter. or placing a solar panel trickle charger some place that actually gets sun, or what ever.
the only issue with above, is someone could possibly plug an extension cord into an actual 110v socket in house or garage, and then plug in alligator clips, and battery go BOOM! but *shrugs*
