1401D Keys

Wind chimes? Great to see a good sense of humor in action.

Ilco TA6 is the blank my locksmith used to make us 1401 keys. Single cut and it works fine.

It seems that there are 3 keys that cover most all of the Yanmar tractors. The 1401 key, the double cut key that fits the 2010 and so on and most all other 3-cylinder Yanmars and the 3-digit F-series key, that also fits Bransons...just in case someone wants to take a test drive.

I am sure there are others as well.

here's a dumb question: I'm assuming single-cut means the key can only be inserted one way into the ignition switch? If so, then mine is double-cut.

I think I can be pursuaded to clean out my key sweepers
and send one for free to a yanmar lover in need.
6 years ago I lost my key in the field, while walking back to the shop i found this lamp on a cow pie , well i rubbed it clean & out came this key genie. ......
well you now the rest of the story,
Any how it has been raining yanmar keys for 6 years
So I bought 2 key sweepers to clean them up, and I sell them for scrap metal, and wind chimes
Well I gotta put my bull boots (ahem) I mean my hip boots back on ,its getting deep in here.

JD part # CH12206 fits a JD 850....... AND a YM1700 /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Will it also fit a YM1500D? I only have one key and I'd like to get a spare to keep around.

There are three different keys that come in the 1500

My key says yanmar on it and the number "715" if that means anything to anyone....

I ordered a box of 50 blanks. These are supposed to be the same as the single cut key (with part# 123243 stamped on it) that all my 1401d's have. These are from a third party mfg., so I hope they work. I will keep you posted.
