Does anyone have the part # for the pre fuel filter on the Mahindra 1533? I asked my dealer to come up with a complete 50 hour filter package. What they sold me did not come with a pre fuel filter and they tell me that they think the pre filter is just a water separator. Also, have any of you guys found a place to find a service manual?

The book calls for the filter to be changed at 50 hours. And also most the other filters. Its to be sure and catch any trash that got in the system from assembly... Good idea imo

why
The filters are there to catch any trash regardless of where it came from. There should be no reason to change fuel filters at 50 hours. Worst case is the engine will start starving for fuel if the filters get really stopped up from gunk, then just change them. No damage is going to be done to the engine if filters get really dirty. Most fuel filters changes are around 200-400 hours, for sure not at 50. If a manufacturer is so dirty as to require a 50 hour change in fuel filters then I would really be suspect on the hydraulics. I don't think there is a real need to change any of them at 50 hours but wear in on the hydraulic and gears might put out a lot of particles if parts were poorly machined so that change is likely necessary, FUEL NO WAY.

No one is forcing you to buy the filter lol

You can sometimes find complete filter packages on eBay. I have a 4025 and there are the 5 filters needed
for a complete changeout for just over $120.

I'm within 3-4 hours of my 50 hour service on my new 1533 so stopped by Wally-World to get some Rotella T oil for the engine ($12.73/gallon) and then stopped by the dealer to purchase the remainder of the items needed: engine oil filter, hydraulic filter, fuel filter, fuel pre-filter and hydraulic fluid for the front axle change. I was a bit surprised at the cost of these materials - $328.77 before tax! Of that, the fuel filter was the bulk of the cost, coming in at $187.46.

Anyone else think the prices for a handful of filters and 2 gallons of hydraulic oil are a little on the pricey side? I'm sure going to see if I can cross reference that fuel filter.

I bought my filters online from Bills Tractor. I see that they have a kit for yours, too. FILTERS FOR 1533 MAHINDRA TRACTOR

The Mahindra filters seem a bit expensive to me, also. When they arrived, I noticed they were all Mitsubishi brand. There has to be a cross reference for other good quality filters from other manufacturers.....
