1533 Engine Power Loss Intermittent

Recently my 1533 has been intermittently lossing power, mostly while in higher RPM. The engine has outright stalled a few times. Changed fuel filter and cleaned out sediment bowl and added dealer recommended D-Syl to help with water and to condition injectors. Still same problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

Look for something in the tank. I had a similar issue and found a hornet floating around in the fuel that was just the right size to block the outlet from time to time.

I had the same type problem with bugs in the tank.

Did you have to remove the tank to clean the bugs out? If so was it difficult? Thanks!

When it happened to me, it was on a Cub Cadet lawn tractor. I fished out the spiders I could get hold of, then broke up the ones I couldn't, then unhooked the fuel line and drained the tank. Then I used my compressor to blow out the tank.

Thanks for the response! Today I am going to drain the tank and then feel around or look to see if anything is clogging the fuel flow. I am hoping for this to be the fix I am looking for!
