1540 hydraluics ?????

i have a 1540 power shuttle ,,129 hrs,,,,every now and then i would hear squeling sounds , today it got worse,,, the loader shakes going up or down loaded or not,,,my dealer said it could be a cylinder leaking past the packing..i did see some seeping around one. he also said the fliud could be overheating.... i am takeing it to them wed. any ideas what could be going on ?? sorry for the long post..thanks for any help bruce

1st... LOL that is far from a long post.

I wish I could help, not a hdyo guy. But I would think you are more to having a dead lift cyc. Have you tried to roll the bucket and see if you hear this sound? Do you hear this sound when NOT using the loader? Do you hear this sound when turning the wheel to hard left or hard right?

Where does the squealing sound like it is coming from and when is it happening? The shaking could be from the packing or from air in the system from a leak. It can even happen at start up before the system is fully charged. When is the shaking happening?

thanks for the replys..it happens up or down curl,and dump..it sounds like when you bottem out a cylinder...but today the loader valve would stick ..and i cant really tell where the sound is comeing from,,,, i am takeing it to the dealer on wednesday....i would just like to get an idea of what it could be..and i hope it is covered under warranty..thanks for the help Bruce

well took my tractor to the dealer today they checked it out ,said the hydraluic filter was the wrong one,,, /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif i got it from them so it is their mistake,,,i am going to try it out thursday,,,they said if it gets worse bring it back,,,i hope this is the fix... and i bought this one in jan, so not close to 2 yrs,,,, thanks for the help,,,,,,,,,,,, bruce

well the tractor still giveing me a little trouble..so i talked to my massy guy who called the service rep. who knew what we were talking about,,,it seems there have been a few others with the same trouble,,a rubber hose and some o rings are letting air in the system,,parts are orderd..should get it fixed the week after the 4 th. ill keep you posted..have a safe and happy 4th. well got my tractor back today...much better,,,, but i still hear a little squealing noise...very faint,,,must just be me..has anyone else with a 1540 had this trouble ???...they changed the loader valve put on on new cylinder,,,and put some o rings on a fiting somewhere.??????..anyway thanks for letting me rattle on....thanks Bruce
