I've been ghosting this site for some time, so I'll try and make this one post as complete as possible. I have about 70 acres - mostly wooded - that I need a tractor to work. I want to use the tractor for everything from mowing to lifting and pulling logs in the woods. My immediate needs are to be able to pull a box scraper and york rake for new landscaping around an addition I added last year. I have a very specific budget and want to stay as near to $10,000 as possible. I also have a dump truck, so the tractor has to at least have the capability of a F.E.L that can reach at least 7.5 feet (higher would be better).
Now, the N.H. / Ford specific questions. I really like the TC30 compare to the similar JD and Kubota I've looked at. At this point I may be able to purchase a new TC30 w/o loader and get the loader later. I'm disappointed there's no auto bleed system but like the rest of the tractor is basic and like the price compare to other brands similar models. My dealer gave me a price of about 14,500 for TC30, loader, and tax. How does that compare to what others have paid?
My dealer has a used 1620 (22 PTO HP) w/ 1257 hrs on it w/ ford loader. The asking price is $11,500 but I think there's room to move. The tractor appears very clean, however, had a backhoe that is being sold separately. For some reason I think backhoe = PTO / 3 pt hitch problems plus more abuse on the tractor. Looking for opinions on this as well as reasonable price. Rubber is about 75-80 percent.
There is also a 1910 (29 PTO HP) that is older and has about 1700 hrs on it. It has a DuAl loader which looks kind of chincy, but that may be just the bucket thats on it. I observed it had some very small hydraulic leaks which seemed to be from the valves for the loader. This one looks a little rougher but has some size on the 1620 (1620 is 2250 lbs v. 3000 lbs). Both are gear drive although the 1910 looks to be the older floor style while the 1620 is more modern. They are asking 9500 for the 1910 which I think is probably high.
I like the idea of getting more tractor than I can afford new right now for a lower price. A loader right now would be really nice. What are your experiences with these two used models and what should I be looking to pay?
Thanks in advance. I know this is long but all the other posts I see get replies that ask more details.
