3-Point Hitch 1705 stabilizer

Hi all. First time poster, long time reader. Gotten a wealth of information from this site over the years, but have a problem I haven't had any luck searching an answer for. Appears I overworked my 1705 and broke the stabilizer on one of my control arms. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. Hoping for some advice on an online resource. I tried the online agco parts book but they only listed each individual part rather than the entire stabilizer. I have a couple of pictures but I think I need more posts before I can attach them. Thank you

I you replace the two threaded pins with an appropriate size clevis (same as the other end that's already on there) these should work..

The threaded part on the turnbuckle nearest tractor broke and the other pin that attaches clevis to farthest end of 3 point arm. Hope I'm explaining that well. All I have left is pin, clevis, and broken threaded part that screws into turnbuckle and the clevis from the other end I found in the field.

Looks to me that they aren't sold as a unit (which is odd). You may want to go to your dealer and see if they have a way to order the entire assembly as 1 unit. This is one reason why the backhoe subframe is nice to have; the lower link arms cannot over travel and thus snap the (chintzy pot metal) stabilizers. Please let us know what you end up doing. If you find a viable alternative, I would replace mine.

I agree. They seem to be a rather cheap galvanized perhaps. I'm looking hard at the stabilworks.rocks for something stronger. Unfortunately he is a one man operation and seems to be very popular and is backed up with orders several months. I was hoping to avoid the dealer markup. Past experience was a rather high price tag. I'm going to call a couple of dealers today.

Have a similar issue bent the living heck outta one of mine. No clue how, but regardless did you wind up buying at TSC?

As a temporary solution I pieced together a turnbuckle, clevis, and pins from tsc. For a permanent solution I placed an order for a set from stabilworks. I highly recommend stabilworks!

Those are awesome! Do they fold up as easily (as in to leave them on with the BH)?

I don't have a backhoe so I've never tried to fold them up. I suspect they won't fold up quite as easy as the floppy turnbuckle clevis and pins but will defer to others with more experience.

Interesting, guess I need to go by TSC to get some that aren’t bent then order the stabilworks ones. Also I’ll take a look but I bet they will go ld fine.

Just put in my order. Stabilworks is currently backordered for 9 months. Yep told me I am in line expect an invoice spring of 2021..

Similar experience. I suspect he's a part time one man operation. Well worth the wait and also the reason for my cheap TSC temporary fix I pieced together.
