You might be able to get one from the local IHC dealer for free, but I think those days are over. Trust me, you need to have this.

Not liking that rack over the cab? Nice place to store spare tires, hand tools and the like.I believe that to be the case. I intend on taking the rack over the cab off and just having a flat bed (once I put new boards on it). I'm going to take it to the farm and use it on and around the farm. I *might* build a set of ramps to put my tractor on the this truck if I really need to move it.
I think that is a IH SV series which are typically 304/345/392.

The original poster's truck does not look like a tilt hood. IIRC all the tilt hoods in the Loadstars were fiberglass at the least all that I saw and I worked for a IHC dealer in the 70s.
View attachment 641005The best twenty dollars you will spend is for a line setting sheet. For Internationals, this is the birth certificate and will tell you what engine, transmission, rear end, brakes etc that truck has. It will take the guess work out of any work you will do on it. Nobody suggested it was a tilt hood. It clearly is not.I think that is a IH SV series which are typically 304/345/392.
