I am hoping we get a good bit here in Pa. My BX needs a good work out. She has been sitting a lot latley and is starting to look a little fat.
1st big snow of 2016 this weekend

Agree! Some of the earlier posts have me wondering. Did I click into the wrong forum a few minutes ago? I thought this was TBN, where we snow lovers look forward to plowing and blowing! :confused2: One model is calling for up to 30" by Saturday pm, and this is No. VA!

We're going to be near the rain/snow line here based on what the models are showing, though things seem to keep drifting further southeast in recent model runs. So I think at a minimum 2-4" and some rain, but if it shifts, maybe 8-12" and minimal rain. Further north the models are saying 24-40" in areas, which I find a little hard to believe. Many of the models, and the simplified water:snow ratios used to generate forecast maps, tend to over-hype. Some of them count sleet/ice as snow when coming up with totals.
Normally I look forward to snow, but right now I have several projects going that will get really disrupted. Also, my boat is unsheltered while I do some maintenance, and it's going to be a hassle to tarp it if it comes down to that. All my fault for doing these projects now instead of that mild month we had in December....
Will wait until Thursday to decide if it's time to hitch up my rear blade. Anything under 6" and it's not worth the trouble, especially if it warms up a little and the ground gets soft. If we got snow right now, on top of the frozen ground, it would be a dream to clear.

Yeah, they have revised it downward somewhat for us. Looks like it may go a little further south than they were saying. Still calling for 8"-12" so we might get lucky!

We got 2 feet here Sunday through Monday, but too far west to get anything from this one.

Some models are calling for 24"-30" for central PA. It's early, but I'm hoping to give the 'bota a good workout.
Central Pa. I would not bet on that.:laughing:

Well I'm still like a kid when it comes to snow, I love it, & the deeper the better! I am jealous, but I hope you guy's get pounded! Take some pics for us and enjoy the special event. I'll be out back leaning up against my new and so far un-used snowblower for the tractor.:laughing:
