Kubota 7610
I'm thinking about buying a new Kubota B7610HSD($13970) with a LA352 loader and a B2660 front snow blower($2500). I've got a 1200 foot northern NH gravel driveway to clear and maintain. I'd use the tractor to get firewood off my 10 acres and landscape also. Would this be a reasonable setup for me at the price ? Is the 60 inch dealer recommended snow blower too big for this machine ? Thanks.

Sounds like a good set up for what you're going to use it for. The 7610 will easily handle a 60" blower. I'm not positive on the pricing for your area-- but it seems to be in line.

Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You'll love the tractor and it will work well for the needs you describe. You should probably consider a good boxblade as well. You can use it both as ballast for your loader work as well as to keep that long gravel driveway shaped up.

Passaconaway, I'd use the $2,500. to buy an older 4x4 plow truck. Unless you have all the time in the world 1200 feet is a lot of snow blowing.

I use a 60" snowblower on a NH TC24D, while the tractor is different, the horsepower is the same as the B7610. You will find the 60" blower to be a good fit for the tractor.

As for the question about the box blade, a basic design is a large heavy blade that is built like a 4 sided box, open on the bottom and the top. The blade is located at the rear. The front has scarifier teeth that are typically depth adjustable and removable, typically 4 to 6 teeth. They break up soil in advance of the blade. The two sides of the box hold the dirt inside and in front of the rear blade. This makes for a device that can be used to smooth and level the ground. If you have a gravel type driveway that washboards or ruts then using a box blade can help you relevel the driveway, fill in the ruts, etc.

For a 24hp tractor, a 48" box blade is a good match in size.
