$2.39 Gas

OK, next question...
The price of a barrel of oil has dropped SLIGHTLY as of late. However, the price of gasoline in some areas have fallen 70 cents during the last couple of weeks. If the oil companies only make 10 cents or less per gallon (which was mentioned in another thread), how have prices dropped this much without a proportional drop in the price of a barrel of oil? How much were they making per gallon before the recent drop in prices?

How many of these useless 'Price of Gas in your town' threads are we going to have?
The price happens to be a very "fluid" thing and I find it curious how one particular region of the country can be the cheapest in the USA and a few weeks later it's a completely different region. Sorry to boar you with such inane chatter, GBoy. Go FSU!!

How about a useless gas post with a pic!!! Local dude here say winter gas blend is coming on, they get about 7-8% more gas per barrel with the winter gas. Just gas, not diesel.

Chavez gas always seems to be the cheapest around here.

What's the temperature at your house today?

What's the temperature at your house today?
The news websites says it is currently 66.:p

BTW, I saw gas ranging from $2.39 - $2.50 this morning on my way to work and diesel ranging from $2.95 - $3.09.

But what was the price of the gas I purchased this morning, that is the question? Hint the car took $35 to fill it.

17.77778 celsius, you can start a thread on that. I'm sorry that you are not interested in regional fuel prices. Now that we know you prefer temperatures we can ask all respondents to also include the temp at the precise time of their gas price info.

Would that be the front porch temp? Or the back yard temp?

Or how about the GAS STATION temperature? (Where gas is $2.29!!!)

I think it has to be at the house, divide front and back porch temps to get a good average. Then we can compare it to the gas station temp, (men's & ladies rooms). But, $2.29 sounds great. I'm heading into town here in a few and I'll get all the pertinent info.:)
Thanks,
John

If it's $1.00/gallon by you, not sure how that helps anyone outside your immediate area. What's the price for a gallon of milk in your neck of the woods -- now that's a very interesting topic.

By the way, if you are so interested in gas prices around the country -- visit GasBuddy.com -- you should be in heaven at that website.

More than a gallon of gas.............

But regular unleaded makes my Captain Crunch soggy and foul tasting.

Depends on where I buy it, if I stop at Wally World in Circleville on the way home it is $1.88, if I got to Wally World in Chillicothe it is $2.98, Kroger is $2.89, if I stop at the quickie mart close to home it is $4.29.

Can we get a check on that $1.88? Perhaps the year? :)

Milk has been $1.99 here for a long time. Gasoline was $2.21 most places. Do you think there's a Milkbuddy.com?

"Winter" gas has a higher vapor pressure. The vapor pressure is raised by adding butane, something the refineries can barely give away the rest of the year!

Went to the Columbus (OH) Zoo today and saw diesel for $2.83 but the cheapest gas was $2.35. Still $2.21 here in Cambridge. BTW, milk is holding steady @ $1.99
