$2.39 Gas

Crapppp again, prices still have not dropped here. :( :(

We have had price fixing investigations here before, they found that there was fixing going on but the DA said it was to expensive to do anything about it. This is where the local gov should spend some money to send a message for the future.

Oh well, I will pay as I need my vehicle to make a living.

That is quite an explanation that the DA gave you guy's. Just kind of throws his hands in the air and tells y'all to live with it. Is this guy an elected official? If so, tell him it's too expensive to keep him in office next election.

More power to them. That's how business works. If people don't want to pay those prices, they will buy their gas down the street.

No one is forced to go to those higher priced stations. If people go elsewhere, they may lower their prices.

I was trying to explain that if you live in my community and drive to the west a few miles, gasoline is $2.09 a gallon. However, if you only drive east every day, gas is $2.43 to $2.51. I drive 30 miles west to work everyday, and see the gas prices dropping every day. Meanwhile, Mrs.AndyM drives east to work and came home with the excitement that gas prices had dropped to $2.43 a gallon! Why the difference from one area to another?

The point was... oh, never mind...

The "Tea Leafs" tell me that Big Oil finally realized that Alternate Fuels are for real and the possibility that Ethanol, Bio-diesel, Coal to Liquids, etc. may cut into their obscene profits, and is attempting to do what they did in 79/80. At that time Govt. lost it's nerve and the numerous Alternate Fuel programs ground to a halt. Do our politicians have the backbone now to keep funding Alternate Fuel startups? I wouldn't bet on it. :)

You need new 'Tea Leafs'. :)

That's a cool "Tea Leaf" conspiracy theory! Too bad the government has to "fuel" ie subsidize all the unprofitable alternative fueling schemes, maybe one day they will become profitable instead of a taxpayer liability....

BTW, were these trancendental tea leaves outsourced from China or India?

Man, it's dropping like a rock out this way. Gasoline was $2.08 and diesel is $2.64. I really think it's going to go under $2.00. I read an article in WSJ yesterday about a petroleum geologist from Saudi that estimated we have only recovered 16% of the earths reserves. I don't know where he came up with this rather optomistic number but it kind of ties in with the story a day before about the super giant find in the Gulf of Mexico. Maybe we can hang our beach towells on the rig?

The gasoline prices dropping over the past couple of weeks in different areas has been interesting to watch, at least for some people.
However, diesel prices have been pretty much stayed the same during most of the same time period, until two days ago... I saw diesel go down 20 cents a gallon two days ago and another ten cents today.

Marietta needs to catch up! The lowest I've seen up here today is $2.02 for gas, and $2.64 for diesel.

I was in Hartville, OH today and the gas was $2.05 & Diesel was $2.63 OUCH!
Here in Cambridge the gas is $2.11 and the Diesel is $2.65. I here it's going to keep coming down. I never would have thought we would see gas under $2.00 but it looks like that is probable.

I wish NY would catch up to the other states that are selling gas for $2.09 and diesel for $2.59. We just dropped a few cents this week with gas at $2.79 and diesel at $2.99 a gal.
