They now have improved the turning . I just returned from a test drive .Those things move like a raped ape ! Unfortunately it did not have all the equipment I wanted so it does look like I get to wait about 8 weeks while they build me one . I heard they have had a trans problem on the 2001-2003 or at least that is what the dealer said. Supposenly it has been corrected . Thanks for all the input.

As Al noted, they have improved the turning radius beginning with the 2005 models. This was done by changing the front suspension from leaf springs to coil springs allowing tighter turn-in.

Big Al, you're going to love it! We have a 2003 Excursion, which is basically a luxury super-duty, with the 6.0 Powerstroke & Eddie Bauer package. You cant beat it for comfort and power. On trips we get 19.8 mpg @ 75 mph.

Yes, Napa, CA. I'm flying into Sac in a couple of weeks for another buddy's wedding there. I actually have dozens of friends in the area. Most live outside of Napa proper because of the price of houses in Napa itself. Rather strong there. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif My buddy with the King Ranch in Napa told me that he bought a couple acres of land quite a bit further inland for less than what a "modest" home in Napa cost. (his obvious tie to a King Ranch pickup - not really needed Imola Ave. in downtown Napa. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have a 2005 F350 King Ranch and the rear bench seat is a 60/40 split that can fold up separately. The front seats have saddle bags built into the backs of them. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif For the snow up here in MI I got the SRW , limited slip diff, 3.73 rear end, and the optional 18" alloy wheels. I ordered a Ranch Hand front end for it. This is my 2nd Superduty and knock on wood I've never had a single problem. I'll attach a picture of the KR.

I told my wife that I was going to hang a cow bell on the rear bumper. She said that she wouldn't ride in it if I did. So I thought that I would call her bluff. So I hung the bell on the bumper. As it turned out she wasn't bluffing so after a few days I made it disappear. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
