Tomorrow traveling to check out a used 2007 Frontier SB1154. I am not sure if the entire SB1154 line was imatch compatible or just later years.
Other than taking my current imatch unit with me does anybody know?

At this point all I have is a few photos of the unit, and that the paint is worn off of the area around the fan, which would seem to be normal.
I also need to look at the clearance between the fan and the area the fan rotates in for clearance, but being a novice with two stage blowers I'm not quite sure what is acceptable or not.

If the i-Match does fit, the driveshaft will probably be a little short.

Fan clearance is not something I would worry about but for some reason a lot of guys on here do. Any gap between the fan and the shroud goes away when you put some snow in it.

smalltown... You are from Western Maine ?
I live near Farmington.

I think you're really going to like that SB1154.
I got a used SB1164 a couple of years ago for my 30hp Kubota.
The Frontier blows snow a longer distance than my previous Puma 64.
The fan on the Frontier is a couple on inches larger than the fan on the Puma, which I feel contributes to the increased throwing distance.

Do you plan to get a cab for your JD2520 ?
I've had a soft side Curtis cab for my Kubota since 2005, it really helps on those cold windy days.

I can't wait for the snow, I am so sick of mowing during this extremely wet summer we've had in Maine.

Well we just got home after quite a road trip. The return trip was in the rain sometimes with heavy downpours. Ended up about 15 minutes from the Canadian border. Qui tres tres proche de la frontier Canadian!

The seller had it hooked up to demonstrate it when I arrived. Seemed to run smooth, and quiet to me. The fan area was bare as expected otherwise it seemed to be in quite good condition.
It had been previously stated that it was a 2007 model. I'm not sure I need to do some more digging. No owners manual available as the seller had purchased the Deere tractor used with the blower already installed with less than 50 hours, and it only has ~250 hours at the moment. I'm guessing the blower couldn't have too many hours.

I brought my imatch with me. The owner's pins were in the lower holes on the blower mount so we "eye balled" it with the imatch held up close. It sure looks like it will fit ok.
I need to remount the pins to the top holes, buy my bushings, a spacer and pin for the top link. The chain looked loose to me so I need a manual to set that properly.

As far as the drive shaft length. We pulled it apart to see if it had been cut down (which I would have suspected), however it appeared to never have been cut. Certainly not by somebody like me
The seller told me he has to push the drive shaft as short as possible to get it on his Deere 2520. So I am hoping when I hook up to my 2520 with the imatch it won't be too short. The blower was for sale, because the owner had a long turning up hill drive way, and had purchased a used quick attach hydraulic plow.

The evening before I constructed a wooden platform to get above my wheel wells, it was a little high, but we managed to stuff the blower into the back of my ford explorer sport trac, and strap it down.
Sure did look odd sitting there up high. The Grandson said it look like an artillery piece. I agreed, and said only this one shoots snow.

Toworrow when the sun comes out I will attempt to get the blower "unstuffed" from the sport trac.

DHD I am near So. Paris

Just thought I would post a few photos of how the blower was stuffed into the back of my Ford Sport Trac for the long ride home.
To unload we decided it best to lift the blower slightly and drive the truck out from under the blower.

Found an owners manual for the Blizzard B54 version not sure if it's exact for my model year, but so far it seems identical.
The drive chain was very loose. The tensioner was not even close. So I readjusted that per the manual.
I started cleaning it up.
Figured I would touch up the paint then grease everything, drain the gearbox oil, and oil the drive chain.

Glad it's home where I can work on it!

Frontier markets implements, doesn't manufacture them.
Woods and BEFCO are big suppliers. If it's a Woods, their name will be embossed on the gearbox and you can download a manual on their website.

Nice looking blower....good luck with it!

Well just one more post to wrap things up on the used SB1154 snow blower.
It has been since early September when I bought the used blower hoping it would have no "snow" issues when the time came.
The time came this morning after mother nature dumped what turned out to be a least a foot of damp snow.

Boy does that thing launch the snow, and I was able to get everything cleaned up real quick. :applause:
Even the snow packed by the town plow at the driveway end was easily moved I just slowed down it chewed it up, and spit it out.
It's great not having snow banks: it's all in the woods.
