2008 JD 2320 200CX Loader Question

Unfortunately the Deeres hold there value a little too well, I looked around and I found some, but none had the backhoe or the R4 tires I was looking for and the cost was so close to the new tractors, it just didn't make sense.

If you are going new, I would look at the 2520, it has a much stronger hydraulic system that allows the loader to move almost twice as fast and it isn't too many more dollars. In my humble opinion the 2520 is the sweat spot in the 2000 series lineup.

Good luck.

The guy wants 13,500 for the 62d mower 200cx loader and 2008 2320. I don't think I'm going to buy this tractor anymore. I priced a new one at a dealer for 16,600 with 0% financing. Do you guys think thats a good price before tax or can I get a little more off? Also, there isn't supposed to be a new 2320 that will replace the current 2320 anytime soon that I should wait to get right?

As Bethesda posted,Deere's do hold their value, which is like a double edged sword, good for the seller, and bad for the buyer.

No new model (2320) in the future that we know of.

Also,as Bethesda posted,I too would encourage you to get a price comparison between the two (2320,2520),You never know, you just might be able to swing the 2520.:)

I almost bought a 2320 but I did a last minute upgrade to the 2520 right before the purchase. Looking back I am so glad I did, the 2520 is so much more tractor for not much more cash. I just looked at the two quotes, the 2520 was $2500 more, I did 36 month interest free so that works out to about $70 a month.

Thanks guys for all of the responses! Do you really feel that the 2520 is worth it? Will the 2320 really be that disappointing? Im going to primarily use it for moving mulch and mowing. I will rarely be grading/terracing/anything else you do with a loader. Input?

IMO, the only thing the 2520 will do better for the home owner is mow large acreage. The 2520 is better equipment for mowing, a little more power/torque (bigger tires) and larger hydraulic flow. Sure the FEL on the 2520 is faster but unless you are using the loader every day, all day, so what and if you do the tractor won't last very long. We got 20 years out of our old JD650 and it was still good to go when we traded it. Again IMO, the 2320 or the 2520 will not make 20 years the way I used the 650 on our 8 acer horse farm/ranch but your not going to buy a tractor today like you could in 1988. In short, both are undoubtedly good tractors.

You will not be disappointed with the 2320, it is a very good tractor, but the 2520 definitely has an advantage when doing loader work and the extra weight, bigger tires and little more grunt from the engine certainly help too.

Another thing to consider, if a replacement comes out that is alot more $s than the current model, used prices go up.

$16.6k sounds a little high to me. Not much but you can get him down a little more. I'd say a little under $16k. I've never priced one out - just from the other Deere I've bought.

Deere has not revealed any plans for a new 2000 series.

Prices vary locally, but I think 16.6K is a pretty good deal for a 2320, 62D and 200CX. I paid 18K (before taxes) for the same package plus a power beyond and a box blade 18 months ago. Looks like there's a good discount there.

I totally agree! The 2320 is a great tractor! It does everything you need. There is alway a model with more options but where does the bleeding stop:(. At least your bleeding the right color!!!:licking:
