Well, it finally arrived this afternoon. Our 2010 RTV 1100 with sliding windows on the doors.

Looks really nice, it looks like they changed the seats. I have a 2008 and am very happy with it. I love the sliding windows.

The newly designed seat was a surprise. I wasn稚 keen on the cloth seat shown in the brochure, I was worried the muddy dogs jumping up on them would mess them in no time.

Very nice..how do you like it so far?...I'm gonna have to get seat covers for mine...My seat will end up trashed this summer even though I Scothguarded it..

Nice looking unit but I don't know if i'm a fan of a window within a window. Something else to block your view. If you can lift the doors off or turn the air on...... what would be the purpose of the sliders ? Were they optional or standard ?

The slide window was an option. We were not aware of it until the dealer called to inform me the unit shipped from the factory was equipped with them. For a little extra $$ I decided to go with them, no regrets. As far blocking the view, no problem driving through the rough woods or on our streets this afternoon.

I like the idea of opening windows, just wish they could come up with a roll down..Doubt that will ever happen...you have a nice compromise.

Is that seat comfortable?...Mine really isn't after running it a good amount of time...That's surprising to me. On mine, they could have done a little better on the seat back. The base is fine...It hurts my back after a while.

Are the mirrors standard or an option now? When I got mine it was first one in at the dealer and had to wait forever for the air intake and the lights. It took a month just to get the winch.

it looks sorta like that goofy subaru that had a window-in-a-window --

-- i like the seat -- though the groin area is a bit weird -- :|

on my 900, i got a cover before i started driving her -- works great --

We took the RTV 1100 out for a short trip into Bankhead National forest. No problems, even the wife enjoyed driving it on the trails. When we got home we decided to drive over to our local Lowes via trail through the woods. That痴 where we lost the outside rear view mirror. Any ideas from RTV 1100 owners on a replacement other than the Kubota version?

That window in a window looks goofy but would be nice to have. We have an 1100 at work without the sliding window and to get any airflow we have to crack the door. Well the 1100 is already wider than the 900's and when plowing tight areas if you forget to close the door you bust the handle off. It happened to our RTV and a couple days later to another groups RTV. Also when you want to talk to someone you have to open the whole door not just the window. The 1100's are sealed almost to nicely and you have to use the a/c or you will cook. Its a pain to use the a/c when you are getting in and out working because the temperature difference makes working very unpleasant. The sliding window would add more airflow maybe preventing the use of a/c. I try to only use the a/c at the end of the day when heading back to the shop, and boy does it feel good. How are the new seats compared to the old ones? All of our 900's are missing the drivers side edge of the seat because we get in and out so much. Time will tell how well the 1100's seats will hold up. The 1100 seats are way more comfortable than the 900 seats.

I do admit the sliding window design is uncharacteristic. Something you would expect from a 3 world country, not Japan. However they function. I leave one cracked so I don稚 have to slam the door to close it. The new design seat works well, although the back could offer more support. I am not sure what the dimpled crotch area is all about.

Municipalities and other public works like the sliding windows. For one thing, they don't have a personal investment in the price of a vehicle so adding options is easier, and then if they're out plowing snow off city sidewalks they can swing by the drive thru at McDonalds for coffee. I am not kidding.

I don't know. I think the sliding windows would be much more useful than the stupid half catch that leaves the doors partially open. I've never used them and never will. My 1100 is camo and I ordered the heavy camo seat cover and installed it before I ever used it. It has held up great and I really like it. With larger and more aggressive tires on mine I was really disappointed in the power and almost got rid of it to go with a Ranger. I'm glad I didn't.

Instead, I added a turbo to my RTV1100. Talk about a difference! Wow!! In M range I can leave two black marks taking off on concrete. I made no changes to make it go faster. Twenty five is fast enough for me. It just gets there much faster and holds that speed much better. Trail riding improved 100%. Unless I'm going to go up an extremely steep hill, I pretty well just put it in M and drive. The combination between the turbo and the coast valve has made it pleasant to drive. If I would have gone with a Ranger I would have REALLY missed my A/C in the summer! We had a warm stretch a few weeks ago with temps in the 90's. I worked several days hauling dirt, bales of straw and pulling a cultipacker with my RTV1100. It works like a dream now.

I do have a 2" lift kit on mine to get the 27" Maxxis Bighorns to clear. According to the speedo, it runs about 27 mph on a flat paved road. According to my GPS, I'm running right at 30 mph. Either way, it's fine with me. I'm sorry that I forgot the name of the guy on here out of FL who made the custom toolbox for the RTV's, but I'd be lost without that as well. I love having all the tools I need in that toolbox that is black powder coated aluminum diamond plate just like in pickups. My only regret is going with Line-X for the spray in liner. I had Rhino Liner in my RTV900 and I like it much better than Line-X. I went with Line-X because that's what Kubota uses if you order one with the factory sprayed in liner. It's not nearly as thick as the Rhino Liner and is harder, allowing things to slide around more. I liked the somewhat softer material that is thicker that Rhino Liner uses.

I don't have my turbo turned up but about half way on the settings and it does all I need. Based on other applications that hydro is used in, I'm not at all concerned about hurting it. I've put more hours on the RTV1100 in the last 2 months than I did in the first 2 years. Until I changed to the coast valve my wife wouldn't drive it. Then she got mad because she couldn't haul heavy loads of dirt for her landscaping up some of our hills. With the turbo, it now handles those loads with ease in L range seemingly without stressing anything. I'm really glad I stayed with my RTV now!

We do not get to spec our rigs out. The paper pushers do unless we explicitly ask for a feature. Then we have to explain to them why we deserve it. RTV's are very common so they just send in the same specs for them. Only the trash guys have different specs on their 1100 they have the extra lights and a trash box.

We go to the 7-11.:laughing: No it would be handy but our machines will never get that feature. I wish both our doors would have that partial opening, only the drivers does.

I'd be interested in hearing how hard it was to install the turbo.
And yes pics would be nice.
I have the instruction sheet and am very interested in adding one to my 1100 for the same reasons.
Kubota underpowered these right from the get go. Should have had 30-35 hp IMHO.
