2015 Hay Season

Wish I could say I was going to get close to farmers count but at least I got the baler to work and I can finish up the excessively dry hay and get the fields fertilized for the next cutting.

rolled up about 60 5 by 6 bales yesterday.waiting on the rain now.will go back to cutting when the weather is clear.

Tried to cut last night, started raining on the first pass and just wouldn't stop. Weather says it will be 90+ degrees today so maybe I can get it cut tonight. Picture is the first pass.

Finished bailing on Friday then hauled in Saturday and Sunday. 133 4x5 bales we move 13 at a time. Dad still has two more share farms to cut. But forecast for the week says 4-5 inches of rain thanks to Bill.

Total bale count for year is 178. Dad had already rolled 45 before I did mine.

Was able to finish cutting this field that was to wet the other night. It was sure thick and deep.

Bill delivered us 8" of rain today! It will be next month before we can finish our last 100 acres. I'm tired of baling hay, I think I'll look into some cows.

You better have deep pockets or a good credit source as cows are very high $$$$$$$$. I lucked out and only got 2.5'' from Bill. I managed to get 550 rd bales put up before Bill got here. Some of the bales I baled for neighbor could have utilized some pontoons as they were sitting in water yesterday morning.
