2016 CK2610 Ignition

Hello All!

Was wondering if the CK2610 ignition could be bypassed and turned into a push start or something.
I find myself, yet again, with a stuck tractor. I've done the basic, battery check and connection checks, grounding checks. Everything leads to a faulty ignition switch. This is the second time I am having to replace this ignition and the third time having to deal with it.

What are my option? Am I stuck buy a new ignition or is there a work around for these tractors. From my understanding from someone on here, there isn't a computer on these. I don't know if that matters or not. Local dealership want's $125 a pop for this.

Since your tractor is under 25 horsepower it probably does not have a computer. A wiring diagram would be good to have for this project. I used an automobile ignition switch from NAPA to replace the factory switch on my Mitsubishi D2350. That allowed me to turn on all the electrical power. I then added a bat handle high current toggle switch to operate the glow plugs. Good luck!!

I fixed my own just by spraying WD40 into it and rotating the key multiple times 2 yrs. ago and it hasn't let me down since.

If you still have the old switches take them apart and clean the contacts. Now you have spares...

You could add a simple push button switch to use in combination with your existing switch as long as the switch still activates the fuel cutoff solenoid.
For temporary use these are quite handy;

They install between your battery power and the start command wire on your starter solenoid.

Turns out I had a shorted wire under the dash, battery terminals needed cleaned, and new connectors were needed.
