Thank you for sharing this, I finally have mine fixed as of today. After reading your post, I bought the filter housing, changed it and the tractor works great again! I am going to cut the old one apart and see what is inside. I expect to find a diaphragm with a hole or break in it.Very..
The ran pretty good most of the time until it would just randomly die.. I had found if I kept the rpm down in the "eco" range it didn't die as often.. (using less fuel)
It was such a hassle I had read hour of similar threads on this and other tractor forums. So when I figured out the problem I joined this forum just to share with other incase they have the same problem.
Do take some pics and share here of what you find.Thank you for sharing this, I finally have mine fixed as of today. I had a Deutz that did the same thing, it ended up being a drifting leaf that would sometimes cover the fuel tank outlet!Random dieing - that brought back a memory. I had an IH 560 that would die but I knew exactly what was causing it to shut down. I can't remember why but I was on the hood with a Mini Mag Light looking into the tank. I was adjusting the flashlight and the head dropped into the tank. Dang it. Got a wire and fished the head out but the reflector and the lense were still in there. I fished the reflector up and out but I couldn't see the lens. Oh well, whatever. But from that time on the unit would die from no fuel. The lens would get over the fuel outlet and get sucked down blocking the fuel. I never did get the lense out. And to add insult to injury it woulds always happen at the worst possible time.
