I really dont know why I am gonna bother because I know you wont get it and dont like to keep things civil, but here goes.
What bothered me was you making some comment earlier about "some members claiming the BIG could get 3 teams in". What was the point in bringing that up again. I am pretty sure we all watch the same games, and the same selection committee shows. IT was indeed a very real possibility. Did it happen.....NO. Is it a good thing it didnt happen......YES.
Did the BIG drop the ball in the post season this year.....you bet. Does that erase how well they did all season .....NOPE.
No one is being a sore looser. Just pointing out the facts. Am I disappointed alot of the BIG teams lost....sure. But Im not gonna dwell on it. Does it mean the BIG wasnt as good as everyone thought??? I have no idea. We can make excuses all day long.
Michigan was a darn good team this year, and came right down to the wire against FSU....Imagine if Peppers was playing.
I got no excuse for OSU. They just played bad. But they were also the youngest team this year. So look out next year.
PSU.....They looked darn good. I remember people talking about USC being one of the hottest teams right now and thinking that they could go toe to toe with anyone.
Not sure what would be different about the "tune" I am singing if some more BIG teams won? Was this post season a disappointment....sure. Would I call the conference as a whole a bust? or overrated? No, I wouldnt go that far.
Good lord, stop making this personal and just talk football. You are more of a troublemaker than I will ever be with edited posts to prove it.
LOL had all 3 won you would certainly not be sitting here trying to stop the conversation. You would be slobbering all over yourself about how great the B1G was just like you were a few weeks ago.
So it's fine to talk about when you want to but when things go wrong then it's not ok for everyone to talk about it. LOL. If I want to talk about conference performance during bowl season I do not need your permission. It obviously bothers you and now you are simply trying to make it stop. There are plenty of folks talking about the B1G being the biggest flop of bowl season so it's 'not just me. I just think it's funny to give people like you a hard time after listening to gans talk about 3 teams getting in the playoff and how great the B!G was a few weeks ago If you can't handle that it's your problem not mine but stop whining about it already. If you can dish it out you gotta be able to take it as well.
This bowl season has been a complete bust for the B1G. The only good win was squeaking out a 1 td win against a MAC school who they have nearly a 100 million $ advantage as far as AD budget. Everything else was a mild disappointment (Michigan/PSU) to a complete dumpster fire not being able to score points (Iowa/tOSU).
On the bright side the SEC looked average or worse in every game this bowl season. Auburn really didn't' even give OU much of a game and lowly KSU managed to beat a high powered SEC school that was in the top 10 at one point this season. PRetty safe to say the ACC had the best bowl season with the Big 12 next
