2019 Silverado

Think I pad around $30 for my TPMS tool--Using the tool is miles ahead of the deflate/inflate process. Use it for rotating and for swapping my summer/winter wheels too. Bought aftermakets for the summer with TPMS and no issues.

I'm sure the people worried about ground clearance drive the shortest wheel base models because that alone would help the most.

That depends on what you're doing. In most circumstances it makes little difference.

For off road, approach angle, departure angle, and break over angles are HUGE. A short wheelbase allows a tighter turn radius too. When the going really gets tough, you get short.

Most people aren't doing any serious off roading in nice pickups. Not dragging on a stump or bottoming out on a rutted road are more likely.

90+% never need 4wd let alone off-roading.

Very true. I thought we were talking about something more serious that ruts on a trail. Another trick is to disconnect the sway bars as you want that suspension to MOVE!

I have had several of all the big 3 trucks over the years. For 1 reason or another I have been a Ford guy for the past 6-7 years. Friends have GMs and seam to like them just fine. Also Dodges.. They like them as well. Hopefully GM has c,eared up the issues they have had with that new truck, it sure is nice looking.

If someone can recommend a cheap transmitter on E-Bay that excites the GM TP sensors, I would appreciate that. I have had the truck since 09 and don't know if I will get another GM so I don't want to invest a lot of money. The tire dealer usually does this for me, when I can't get it to work. I wonder, if frozen moisture freaks these thing up?. I don't know. No one ever seems to consider the long term cost of all this fancy BS.

Is it just me? Does no one ever care to ask what a remote controlled side mirror, with LED turn signals and remote extension, costs to replace?
The $30 one on Amazon works fine.

dims.jpgAnother picture, from Chevrolet. Silverado will offer a 3.0L inline 6 diesel.

I like the front view and glad they ditched the squad wheel openings but not sure about the creases down the side....... it looks almost like a F150.

What I really don't care for is the interior and that's what owners will be looking at.

The interior does nothing for me, and that center display looks like a cheap Chinese knock off android tablet.

And those dinky car mirrors? Whats the point?
No thanks.

Cant wait to see the Ram.

The 2019 Silverado just looks.......odd to me. The interior looks exactly the same as the current model, no upgrade there. It seems they added some tech to catch up with other trucks. For me, I would choose the Silverado last, even over the Tundra and the Titan. It's that bad. Ford and Ram look the best to me.

I got my EL 50448 (TPMS) Tool a few days ago. $14.55 Free shipping from China.

It seemed to work on the first wheel, Second and then I could not find the sweet spot on the third. Then the system timed out. I was showing low battery as well.

I was using an outdated but new Duracell Pro battery. A battery tester said the battery was good.

Of course I opened the unit. Well made, surface mount technology and chrystal controlled. Thinking of ways to increase the output, but that may be premature. Just too cold to play with it now.

Agree, the interior is a minor tweak from the current style/look/layout. Slightly nicer, but very much the same.

I don't like the rounded wheel wells, for me rounded toilet seat looking wheel wells belong on cars not trucks . But then I guess that's why I like the look of Jeeps and old GMs etc.
