Go for the big dog.

I didn't need the TLB I have when I bought it, but my needs changed and I was very happy to have it. Turns out it was just the right size for a job that is going to make or break my retirement...

I'm convinced,
The reality for me and probably for others as well is that my tractor while usefull and even necessary,is at least in part a big boy's toy. For me the ck20 was like the red rider bb gun that annoying kid in "A Christmas story" had to have ,your bb gun is the CK 27. I get it now, pick your Dealer, pick it up,post pictures...............Craig

There is a promotion on today. Buy a ck27 and get a mannequin leg lamp. I'm having a hard time passing it up. :)

Wait...the Ck20 does not have the Q&A?...Def...def.. definitely go for the Ck27. The Q&A itself is worth it's weight in gold:thumbsup:

I never heard anybody here say they wish they had a smaller tractor....Besides someday you might have 5, or 10 or more acres.

The 27 has a bunch more features for not a lot more money. It's hard to say no to the 27 even if it's more than I need right now.
You are right, this tractor will be around longer than I'm in this house. We also have a cottage on 1 acre that I can think of many uses for it. Just don't currently have a trailer to transport the machine. :)

You can add the QA for cheap money. I agree it is a critical feature.

Only critcal if you need it. And the loader won't lift all that much anyway. The QA detracts from that too. But, if you need it and use it, and it's enough lift, it's nice.

I'd go the CK27 just for the 3 range tranny and extra weight. The extra HP at the PTO is nice too.

But trailering it will require a 7K trailer minimum, and that's with only light rear implements coming along for the ride. The CK20 is much easier to tow.

Just a reminder that the loader on the CK20 lifts 1070lb vs 1155 for the CK27 loader. Not a big difference.

I agree completely about the three range HST though on a small lot that would not make much difference.
