The current Kohler and Robin engines do not exactly use a stub shaft on the flywheel side.
The engine side of the lovejoy style connector bolts directly to the flywheel with the flywheel bolts and uses the end of the shaft for the flywheel as a pilot to center the Lovejoy style connector.
The older Kohler motors did use a stub shaft on the flywheel. I do not know at what serial number the change was made to mounting the Lovejoy connector directly to the flywheel. If anyone needs the old Kohler stub shaft, I have one taking up space in the garage.
