Wow, you can run off the tractors pump?! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
My JD dealer is insisting I need the external pump (No matter what I would get).
He says the BH will be very slow if run off the tractor.

Every Woods dealer around me is over 60 minutes of rural mountain roads away. Not one of them is a John Deere dealer so I would have to order on of those funny green attachments.

Do you have rocky soil or sandy soil? I have rocks and I think they are breeding. Does the 2305/2210 get tossed around a lot while digging? Or does it hold it's own. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

That's a good price. Retail is somewhere over $6000. I paid $4000 with the entire 2305 package. I checked the ground clearance. The backhoe makes no difference. The plate under the rear hitch platform is still the lowest point.

The hydraulics are a little slow, but not any different from any other attachment I have. Comparable to the loader speed. If the stabilizers are used and are on solid ground the 2305 sits pretty solid while using the backhoe. There have been a couple of times when I needed to get up against something and could not get the stabilizers down. It will push the tractor around back and forth easily. It doesn't move side to side.

The ground here is a lot of rocks and clay. I mostly dig when the ground is a little soft but not muddy. I find the breakout force is pretty good. The lifting force is much less, but I'm having good success.

I would call Woods direct to ask about a direct purchase. They may not have a problem shipping it directly to you or you may be able to find a dealer that wants to sell one and have it drop shipped to your address.

A couple weeks ago I got quotes from 3 dealers. List price for the three components is $6,773 (Hoe - $5250, subframe - $1155, bucket - $368). Two dealers came in with the same pricing of $6,100 and the third came in at $4,950.

Can't remember for sure, but RVTech may have gotten his as package deal to get such a low price.

Best of luck!

Yes, that's what i meant. Priced as a complete package deal with the tractor. I doubt I could get that price today with increasing oil and steel prices.
