Two things. First is to put heavy grease on both splines before you install the drive shaft. Just like we use to do in the old days to save the spline. My input shaft spline into the rear end is pretty worn. Second is to put the snap ring on the front coupling just shy of the pin hole and once the pin is in it's easy to slide it the rest of the way into the groove. No hassle using the priers in that tight spot.
