JD I know Deere has a Japanese motor, but when did Kubota start assembling in America?

Yes, KMA (Kubota Manufacturing America) was established in 1988 producing implements in Gainsville, GA with tractor production beginning in 1994. The larger tractors are still made in Japan with assembly often taking place in Jefferson, GA.

It is next to impossible to know where things are actually "made" anymore based on the brand name or sometimes stamping. Many Walther pistols have Made in Germany stamped on them when in reality they were manufactured in France with "final assembly" only in Germany.

LB....But if you spread that between 3 tractors, you don't fill each one nearly as often. I fill my JD tractor a lot less, since buying the Ford. You probably fill your little tractors a lot more than I do my big ones, even if we clock the same number of hours in the seat. However, I will trade you fuel bills when it comes time to actually fill up one of our tractors. My 7710 calls for forty seven gallon capacity, and that isn't with the aux tank that it has.

People that make fuel consumptions comparisons based on 1/4, 1/2, etc levels of tanks amaze me, as there is no standard for tank size, but easily computed if you simple take a look at the actual gallons/liters that you put into it.
