Well, here the good news,''if you can see it that way'' for a mere $338.00 can. plus tx  you can eliminate pretty much all that knocking noise from your 47'' snowblower. I've just install mine and tried it out, big difference. Here a few pic. of what it looks like. The big difference is the double u-joint at one end, and the fixed shaft.

Henri, glad to hear that made a difference in the noise level, but did you have to pay for that or was it covered under warranty? This looks alot like the set up on my 2320.:)

Hi Dale! Nice to read you again. They gave it to me on the warranty. As you know, I have you to tx for this. You were a great help.;) Merci!

Question! Can anybody tell me what that grease nipple on the surface of the yoke, is for. I gave it 4 shot of grease but nothings coming out nowhere that I can see. There is the regular grease nipple inside the u-joint, but if you look and increase the first, second, and fourth pic. you will see the nipple I'm talking about.

Glad to hear you got your back and it helps vibration.
I was able to try my out today . But snow was way to wet. I did my driveway and some of the brother-in-laws.
Went and put the front blade
But I will say there is a vibration ,a mix between the wet snow and higher rpms

Henri:
Looks good! We got about 1-1/2" snow here last night, not enought to run the snowthrower yet.
Did you figure out what the zerk is for? Those four shots must have gone somewhere. The original shaft has a zerk to grease the splines, but it is on the outer shaft, not on the yoke.
Enquiring minds want to know!

So does mine. Don't know where its going. I can't see inside the shaft, no reason to have grease in there. Hate to pump more grease without knowing. Dale1995 mention the setup looks like his. Maybe he has and idea whats its for.

My best guess is that this zerk is used to grease this shaft when it is on the tractor and you don't have access to the other grease fitting on the cross. (especially in the winter months when you might want to give the joint a squirt or two of grease) They must be connected, because I know that John deere wouldn't put an extra fitting there for nothing!
